What's on your Tuesday Menu?
Good morning all and Happy Tuesday,
QJB & Grim - Can you please help us with something Jim and I lost? We can't seem to find that good good weather anymore. Can you take a lot look around and see if it's by you? This cold is for the birds.
QOTD- I've worked legally since I was 13. Besides legally working, I was doing side hustles before they were called hustles like salvaging golf balls, capitalizing on teenage fads, babysitting, snow clearing business with 20 kids (slaves), etc. In high school, I worked at a drug store, a pizza place/bar, managed a broasted chicken restaurant, freelance writing, etc.
B: Dannon Light and Fit Coconut Yogurt, Tangerine.
L: Kielbasa. A neighborhood bakery, Laramie Bakery, is really an European Deli. They have racks of hanging sausii. Yesterday's pick up is amazing. It's called Kielbasa but is more like a fat sausage stick. If only there were smell o vision...
D: Chicken Skewers, green beans.
HW: 371 SW(8/9/21): 324 CW: 215. 0 lbs til goal of skin reduction surgery. I'm still looking for a new plastic surgeon.

Yep, Lisa was kind enough to drop off the California warmth and leave it for us. Maybe she'll swing through your area on her way home ;)
OMG what a great questions, QJB! We are an industrious bunch! White Dove, I thought I had a lot of jobs but I can never beat you - I bow down!
In high school...I did ALL the jobs. My mom was like "you get $50 for back to school clothes" and I was like "But I need Girbaud jeans and Bum equipment sweatshirts and they are $50 each" and she was like, "too bad". So I was a hustler! I started babysitting at 12 (I cannot believe people left me with their infants!), I caddied for women at a local golf course with a friend (we were only allowed to carry women's bags), and as soon as I was legally able (I guess 14), I started working at the mall at an ice cream shop named Scoops. I made waffle cones and scooped ice cream and made shakes. Days I didn't work at Scoop, I worked after school at a drycleaner, bagging the clean clothes and ringing people up. I literally credit those job and my mom for the work ethic I have now. If I whined that I didn't want to work because there was a football game/party/dance etc, my mom would say "too bad, you made a commitment, you are going to work". I don't think I ever called in sick! This carried over into college where I worked at a sandwich shop/bar, read to a blind professor, did yard work for another professor, and then spent my summers and long Christmas break working at a beer distributor as a dispatcher back at home. I like the security of having money so I have always worked!
I am in Philadelphia with my mom for her monthly cancer treatment. We had Malaysian food with friends last night so I have some leftover food in the fridge while I work from the hotel all day. A friend from NJ is coming down tonight and we are going out for Middle Eastern food. I don't want any mains, just alllll the sides!
B: two coffees down the hatch, mediocre free cheese omelette downstairs
L: Leftover mee goreng (no, Grim, you would not like it!)
D: tatziki, hummus, salad, pita, all the things. And wine.
Have a fabulous day, all!

After all the mentions, i had to Google BUM, because apparently I lived under a rock. And name brands were never a thing when I was a kid. So now I know about BUM!

I will never forget buying my first Bum Equipment sweatshirt with my own money! That was probably the single coolest moment of my life and it has all gone downhill since then.
