When I lived in Canada - my car did not have AC. We had heat block in engine and blanket around batteries. The cars have plugs to plug them into electric circuit to prevent oil freezing in -20- to -40 C. BTW; -40C is app -40F. It was fun.

Moving to SC - AC is a must unless you are young and don't mind getting all sweaty from just driving down the road. Open windows in 90-100F in summer - that just simple convection oven temperature. Inside the parked cars - ugh...

I love my heated seats and use them all the time in the cooler months. However, AC is also a must for me in the hot weather.

I love heated seats, I have had rentals with the cooling seats and they just make me feel like I'm peeing my pants. Not a fan, even when I had them in Phoenix in July!

LOL. I think of you everytime I put the cooling seat on. You had mentioned this before and it has stayed with me.

That's one more thing I can't un-know. I guess I'll just have to keep driving without pants.

i keep my phone until I get an email from work IT requiring me to upgrade. Don't see the new phone excitement.

There are only one reason to change phones: our oldenst no longer secure because of no upgrades, plus it's so slow it takes a while to answer a phone.

Unfortunately- I just "upgraded " my phone. It's a painful process. Ugh.

This is what happens with my work phones. I get notifications that I'm about to be disabled due to outdated security patches and the phone is old enough there's no more support for it. I probably make things worse by then upgrading to the cheapest available model.

Since I know the drill - I only update to almost the latest version of the phone type I like. I had Google Pixel 4XL, lasted me 4 years. Now I got Google Pixel 7pro. I hope it would last 4 years. With plans and discounts - it should cost me less than $300 plus the new plan saves money on the bill. estimated savings app $30-50 per month. Depending on travels and international calls.

same. Although not work. It's usually when they can't hold a charge anymore or something else goes wrong with them that isn't an easy fix. Seems to happen when they're about five years old (my current one is four years old - so I should be able to get another year or two out of it)
