I hope your son gets those classes. The first professor sounds like a good human being! How unusual.

BTW, I have never watched Sex and the City.

Glad the water helped. The last thing you want is to have a fall from greyouts.

Crazy that kids are gaming the system for early access but can't say I'm surprised. Glad your son is making progress!

Good morning ~ You two are adorable! Coffee is definitely a hug. Today they are having a blood drive at work and I am shuddering already. I can handle all the medical things I have to go through but the thought of giving blood makes me want to vomit - I can't even watch it on TV, its a very physical reaction. Not blood itself, not blood draws, not seeing bags of blood or bloody murder scenes - they are no problem. My dad donated gallons of bloods over his lifetime and it scared me as a kid that I would have to do that when I grew up. It has to be a mental block of some kind.

Anyway - work is work, just preparing for my time off. The candidate I wanted for my job accepted the position - yay! It will be a few months since there is an extensive background check, so hopefully by August I will be training the new person and work life can resume to a normal pace and learning new things.

QOTD -I've tried all the social media things I think at least once, but they don't stick. I've never given blood or had anything waxed

Accountability - I didn't eat any of my snacks and I had a protein bar for dinner. Not interested in food - weird.

4 sleeps left

b- coffee, FLP

l- FLP

d- chicken and mexican cauli rice

s - yogurt

Have a great day!

I use my WLS as an excuse not to give blood. I'm a bit worried about losing iron since it can be hard to build it back up. Although that might not be an issue if your levels are strong to begin with (which mine are).

I tried unsuccessfully to get over my fear of needles by donating blood...exactly three times. Did not work and those needles are huge.

Sounds like your system is getting ready to go! So excited for you!

I think that is the problem - the huge needle and that huge tube you can watch the blood travel - omg, I feel woozy thinking about it....

Amy, that is so funny. My dad was also a huge blood donor, like clockwork and I loved going with him to watch him get stabbed! I was a regular donor and on the list for emergency donations for children's due to my blood type but once I hit about 40 when I just had too many iron and D issues, along with traveling to places that regularly for me deferred. The coordinator at the donor center I went to finally just told me to donate money, not blood.
