What's on your Thursday Menu?
You look like you're on track to be a better version of you. That is great you have an awesome son to motivate you. I am excited to hear about your success moving forward. God Bless you.

I've joined a weekly abstract painting class! I call it my middle-aged woman hobby. I've met some amazing women and we frequently meet earlier for coffee. It's awesome because I get to be creative, I've met incredible women, and I get 4 hours all to myself! Perhaps a class or a book club would be a good connection activity!
So happy for you having your son home. I feel we are in the same boat with our sons, so everytime I see you have seen him or he's been home my heart swells with joy.

Good morning and yay, it's Thursday!! I have so many meetings today -- I really need to get better at how I schedule my Thursdays, this is happening a lot lately.
QOTD - I think I've done most of the common things but I'll say I've never searched on TikTok or posted on Reddit. I have seen a few tiktoks that people send me though.
I am saving my workout for after the ninty-eleven meetings I have today and other than that, nothing planned.

QJB-what a positive start to your day! I am happy to hear you are feeling better, well enough to try out the rower. BTW, cute picture of the giant and the shrimp :-)
I didn't get a chance to post yesterday. Still at my mom's house in Montana. She actually looks good when she is lying flat on her back but has excessive pain when up walking or trying to sit in a chair. Can not tolerate more than about 5 minutes of those positions. I have been pushing her to get out of bed every couple of hours. However, I fear that if no one was here to push her she would only lie in bed except to get up to the bathroom. We see the orthopedic doctor today. I have some treatment questions and will talk about either in home help or acute rehab facility. With Medicare she will need a 3-night hospital stay to qualify for rehab...TBD what happens.
My GI PA wants to do more specialized labs to see if I am a poor metabolizer of liver clearing medications. I thin she is grasping at straws, but I am willing to check it out.

Your mom might not appreciate it but I'm glad you're there to push her. I don't think a lot of people realize how bad for you staying in bed can be if you don't absolutely need to.
Your practice is being really thorough! She wants to get to the bottom of what's going on. Hope you do.

Good morning, everybody!
JB, because you are shorter, the rowing workouts will require more work from you to get to either the same distance or calories.
I tried to drink extra water before and after Happy Hour yesterday and it did help me to avoid dizzy spells when I stood up from the couch. Thank you for that advice.
I am in the 10 day re-integration process with Whole30. That is where you slowly try some of the things that you cut out and see how they affect you. The main thing that I noticed from the wine was that it was one of my worst sleeping nights in awhile. My sugar was normal in the morning. I am taking the reintroduction slow and will space it over more than 10 days. I don't really need to experiment to see what sugar and processed foods do to my body. That has been a lifelong discovery.
We have had a bit of movement on both of my son's problem classes. On the Field Study, the professor is searching for a bigger classroom so that he can get all of the students, who want to attend, into the session. That is a great professor with the student's interests at heart. On the other class my son is second on a waiting list of 25. From what I have heard that means he will pretty automatically get into the class. I guess the process of "blue slipping", which is the organized begging process that I referred to yesterday, is actually a step below the waiting list.
I learned yesterday that some students actually applied to graduate school just so that they could have Monday registration. Who knew?
Work is kind of busy today. I think that everyone is hoping to take tomorrow off either formally or informally so they are trying to cram things into today. Hopefully it works.
QOTD: I have never watched Sex in the City.
Breakfast: Leftover lamb
Lunch: Salad with turkey
Dinner: Hamburgers
Have a great day, all!
