G'morning all!

Happy 7th anniversary to QJB & Grim. Although I wasn't here since the beginning I've heard the stories and I think you two are the perfect match for each other.

For those of you using MFP for keeping track of your cals/protein/carbs , do you remember when they took the bar code reader "behind the wall", and you had to be paying the monthly fee to be able to use it? I've been using MFP even before WLS and always used that feature, but I refused to pay the monthly fee. So...I learned a hack how to get around it. If in your acct you change your location from USA to UK the barcode reader works again. I tried it yesterday and it works. Hope this hack makes you as happy as it made me.

QOTD: I'll not go much for trendy or classic, but I need to like the name and feel a connection to it. So if I had to name a baby nowadays I would just go by what I like without worrying if it's findable online or not. DD googled her name and the combo of her name and last name is a musician in Australia. I thought that was cool.

My meals yesterday:

  • Coffee
  • Shredded chicken w/cauliflower thins
  • Protein pudding, Lean bar, iced coffee w/PP
  • HB egg, fage yogurt, unexpected cheddar cheese
  • E: skipped

PS - I need to lay off the lean bars.

Happy Taco Tue!

Thanks for the hack. Though, I never used the barcode reader often. I like to check manually, because there are usually so many wildly differing values for the same food, even if it's something prepackaged. I guess I always preferred to confirm before I entered it.

I still only have 4 pages of foods on MFP and 2 of those are from right after surgery, and I haven't eaten them since.

Yay! This was one of the things I used most on MFP. I made the change and looks like it's working. Thank you for sharing!

Live the hack tip. I thought it was a load of crap that MFP took the scan option away unless you paid for it.

Good morning ~ Happy anniversary QJB and Grim! I hope you feel better. Yesterday was a tough day - I am full on feeling the effects of the HRT leaving or full out of my system. The hot flashes are back as well as other symptoms and I'm sensitive and moody - not sure if that is part of it, but it's unusual for me. Still waiting to hear about my blood test from last week so I think I will call. Anyway - I will go forth today and make it a good one. I was able to complete what I used to refer to as my beast report in less than a day, so that leaves me extra time to prep for my time off (2 weeks). I'm thinking about WFH the 2nd week off, but I don't really need/want to, so why bother? I'm meeting my sister for lunch (coffee actually) it will be nice to catch up.

QOTD - Tons of Amy's growing up and at most of my jobs, including now. At one time there were 5 of us, now there are only 2 and she spells her name different so it almost doesn't count. I go back and forth on this - it's trendy to use old fashioned names these days which I think is adorable. I'm waiting for Gertrude and Bertha to come back, haha! Maybe they will be my future cats names - now that would be cute. Trudy and Bert. Recently, a co-worker named his daughter Avalon which I think is beautiful. I also love classic names and especially Irish names.

Accountability - great

The weather lady on the news I watch had a baby yesterday and named her Aurora. I thought that was cool since she does the weather.
