What's on your Wednesday Menu?
G'morning all!
Holy moly, that kitty is so cute! When DH says I look cute when I wake up I always think he says it due to self preservation. Y'all have seen my wild hair shadow pic. The poor man has no other choice but to compliment me if he plans on living a long life.
QJB - I wanna see the containers. Is that weird? When you said you were going to the container store all I could think about was the layout of the store and what *I* would get. Please share. And I totally concur on the Lean bars gs cookies. I gotta stop buying them because I could eat 5-6 of them in one sitting.
Rain rain go away...come back another day. It's torrential today and doesn't look good for the trees.
I was at the store yesterday and saw cauliflower cheese crackers. I'm always up for cauliflower anything, see menu below, but out of curiosity I compared the cauliflower one to regular cheeze-it. Yup, not so much better macros. This is when they say "have you asked cauliflower if it wants to be in everything?"
QOTD: aaah, speaking all the languages. That has always been my dream, but after a certain age it gets harder and harder to learn new languages. I remember when I tried German in my late 20s and the grammar killed any enthusiast I had to learn a new langauge. I also tried Japanese due to work and again I was lost. On the other hand I would also love to talk to my dog and apologize to her for forgetting her bday yesterday! She turned 5 yesterday without anybody acknowledging it. Poor thing. I'll get her a doggy cake today, I might have to swim to the store though.
My meals yesterday:
- Coffee
- Mex cauliflower rice + ground turkey
- Protein pudding, jello
- Chicken tortilla soup (I skipped the tortillas)
- E: cardio + weight
Happy hump day!

Did you see the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel? I was in hysterics when she and her mother woke up an hour early every day to do their hair, makeup, etc, and then climb back in bed and pretend to be asleep.

I agree with the cauliflower trend right now. I look at these items expecting them to be lower calorie and better macros but they are just the same item with cauliflower added in. The only thing that seems worthwhile is the riced cauliflower when trying to save calories and add nutrients.

I am now a believer in cauliflower mash in addition to the riced cauliflower. Recent convert but I can't wait to try it again.

QOTD: a tough one. On one side - I would like to be ale to communicate with different people, be able to understand them, on the other hand - ignorance is a bliss. I do understand a few languages and it sometimes creates funny situations. People talk to each other in their native tongue... and I either start laughing .. or have to quickly remove myself from their proximity..
Or when you are in a movie theater - and you are the only one starts laughing at jokes or sentences... not in English. Sometimes the subtitles or translation doesn't provide the same "thought".
Anyway.
Yesterday I got home early (6 pm) and decided to eat my veggie "sushi". Raw veggies made as a sushi roll. I only ate 1/2 of the serving, since there was some "cabbage" in it. Ugh. I love cabbage. My gut - not so much. I got so bloated overnight... and I was dreaming about passing gas... (that's a very first ever dream like that). I woke up around 2:30 am with horrible cramps... I took meds and just stayed out in the living room feeling stupid and sorry for myself. Ugh. I took a bunch of digestive enzymes, gas-x, etc. etc. It got better after 7 am. ugh.. no cabbage for me .
Today:
coffee tea tea water...
L: cheese sticks
D: chicken or beef... depends...
S: HB eggs

walking helps to move the gas along. Also, exercise.

I know... but at 2:30 am? the only walks I did were between the sofa nd the bathroom...
But there are a bunch of yoga poses that help with the gas. Unless the cat is trying to take care of you and is determined to cuddle on top of you. Whatever your "top" is. He is only about 21 lbs... lol.. He is better than any hating pad for the belly. Trust me.
