Sorry, nothing easy about this process.
You have to be committed. The surgery is not an easy way to lose weight. Yes, you have restrictions and that helps a lot for the first 18 months but after that it's all you.
You gotta go in this with the idea that this is my last chance to lose weight and I need to be committed 100%, no ifs and buts about it.

I don't have any experience with bankruptcy, but I would guess it's similar to weight loss surgery.

You can have debts so large you will never pay them off bankruptcy wipes the slate clean, and you have a second chance. Some people run with it. Others just end up under a new pile of debt.

Weight loss surgery gives us a second chance. Some run with it, others don't. It's very motivating.

6'3" tall, male.

Highest weight was 475. RNY on 08/21/12. Current weight: 198.
