What Some easy ways to stay motivated
Sorry, nothing easy about this process.
You have to be committed. The surgery is not an easy way to lose weight. Yes, you have restrictions and that helps a lot for the first 18 months but after that it's all you.
You gotta go in this with the idea that this is my last chance to lose weight and I need to be committed 100%, no ifs and buts about it.

I don't have any experience with bankruptcy, but I would guess it's similar to weight loss surgery.
You can have debts so large you will never pay them off bankruptcy wipes the slate clean, and you have a second chance. Some people run with it. Others just end up under a new pile of debt.
Weight loss surgery gives us a second chance. Some run with it, others don't. It's very motivating.
