What's on your Thursday Menu?
Thanks for asking. Dad is not good. He has shut down and doesn't want to communicate. He may need surgery for a couple issues. He is currently aspirating fluid into his lungs. The hospital is trying to discharge him 3/27 and there are no beds available at two facilities. The third facility has really horrible reviews and ratings so we have to figure out an alternative.

JB, I keep thinking that you could make millions opening a Keto Bake shop! I purchased from a FB Keto Bake shop that I had seen and the baked goods were fabulous! Much better than the commercial offerings.
I weigh myself daily, what I am noticing is that I am at my lightest on Thursdays, I usually maintain loss from Monday to Monday? I have a couple of theories, while my exercise remains the same on weekends - a few of things that are different on the weekends
I do not usually have morning and afternoon snacks
I do not drink as much water
We eat out more often and sodium intake is higher

Years ago I was a disaster recovery coordinator. I would give training classes on the subject. I told this story: Two of our employees were working in far eastern company and were captured by an Islamic terrorist group. They were put on trial and condemned to die. The day of their execution the terrorist leader told them that they each could have one last request.
The disaster recovery coordinator went first. He said that all he wished for was one last opportunity to tell this programmer about the importance of having computer backups.
The terrorist said that was reasonable and that his request would be granted. Then he asked the programmer what his last request would be. The programmer answered, please shoot me before he starts talking.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
QJB-are there really any cookie mistakes? I think it is God's plan so we have an excuse to taste what we are cooking! I bet the mistake was delicious. I do like to have a plan for the day, something planned to do. But it is good to not have too much on your plate once in a while. Enjoy the slower pace while you can. Love the meme BTW.
A couple of meetings today. One for the committee I chair. I really have been enjoying this committee work since it is targeted at staff wellness and resilience. That means I get to plan activities and initiatives to help improve nurse moral, wellness, and resilience. It is a bummer that I get to only chair the committee for 1 year (I have through Dec 2023). I can see how being the chair of a committee can overtake your work life though especially when you are just starting a committee and recruiting members. Therefore, most tasks fall on you as the chair. I am hoping to delegate more.
QOTD: I suppose the benefits of being a nurse as a career choice, benefits of yoga and stretching plus working out.
Accountability: excellent
same meals
E: 60 minutes hot yoga
OMG-the yoga studio was sooo hot and humid yesterday. Brutal but a really good sweat and workout!

Our next wellness team meeting is Monday! I love that you're engaged on that front for the good of the health and sanity of the team. I hope they appreciate it.
I must be the only human who can't do saunas or the hot and humid places. People seem to love them but I literally never stop feeling like I'm going to die in those environments.
