What's on your Wednesday Menu?

Thanks everyone. We talked a bit today. Still perturbed with some things but it's easier to let it be.

I have looked into what it'd take to have my own place and I just can't afford it. My family definitely has the idea to take care of the elders. It's a southern thing for us. Most of the time we get along. Like all relationships I guess we have hiccups.

It doesn't help that I am so exhausted alllll the time. I'm over alllllll the BS from all the people lol.

I'm sorry you deal with so much family strife on top of everything else in your life. If I knew some way to turn off angry crying, would definitely share with you. Hugs, and hopes it will get better.

Oh my gosh, the angry cry! It's my ugliest cry I have and the hardest to control.

And the most frustrating! Glad it sounds like you were able to talk it out a bit. It's tough cir****tances when you love together and there aren't many options.

QOTD: I don't have a song in my head right now, but I usually get about 5 per day. I usually understand how it happens. But often I have no idea where it came from. Just some old song that appears, as if from no where.

Brisket was bad. It was a different brand, and a red, rather than gray. It was less tender. I cooked it exactly the same as the last one. The only difference was letting it marinade, which should have helped tenderize it.

I'm not shoveling. It's supposed to hit 50 degrees. I'll wait it out.

We're supposed to get close to 70 today and snow overnight and then the 30s through to next week; unless it's a lot more than expected, I won't have to shovel either because it will melt before it builds up.

Altitude plus being right on the transition point between two regions keeps it an adventure!!

I get many recipes from AllRecipes.com. here are some for Brisket that have 4.5+/5 rating from people who made them before (I have not made them). Personally, I would use the slow cooker for tenderness.
