What's on your Thursday Menu?
on 3/9/23 2:52 am
Good Morning and Happy Thursday! I got nothing... Yesterday was a boring day of organizing and cookie decorating. Same today with cleaning and baking thrown in. We did watch one of the Oscar nominated movie from Kazuo Ishiguro, "Living" last night. Great acting, good movie. It definitely makes you want to be a better person :)
Does anyone have a tried and true Beef Brisket recipe to share? TIA!
QOTD: Do you answer your phone for an unknown number? Never for me and then I often forget to listen the VM. Someday I am going to miss something important. For some reason all of the spam calls that I get are in Chinese. I almost feel bad for the spammers because I can't even accidentally fall for whatever scam they are trying to get me to fall for since I can't understand them.
B: Protein Coffee
L: Egg bites
D: Chicken

Good morning and happy Thursday everyone! I am ready for the weekend with two work days to go.
Sorry, no brisket recipe here; sadly, I could never convince myself I was just bloated, I always knew I was fat. I did convince myself for years that it was probably just an undiagnosed thyroid issue, lol. I will be very cranky if I ever develop one of those now.
I watched all three episodes of the Netflix documentary on the MH370 disappearance and it was a lot. There is a conspiracy theory for everyone, it seems. Not sure if people are too gullible or I am too cynical but that's an hour and a half I'll never have back.
Nothing too exciting on the agenda for today, mostly listening meetings with a couple of 1:1s thrown in. The new season of top chef starts tonight and that's exciting but otherwise, just a slow Thursday. I will get in my rowing and probably a strength ball workout, I haven't done one of those in a bit.
menu today
coffee plus half and half X 3
pb English muffin
smoked gouda and summer sausage
tbd on dinner
Have a terrific Thursday everyone!
oh, I forgot the QOTD - not unless I'm expecting a call from an unknown number. Like this week I am expecting a call from a 3rd party contractor so I have been answering; it's always someone trying to sell me a car warranty.

Thanks for the warning about MH370 I was tempted. I feel the same way about the Jared from Subway series.

Good morning QJB and menuers!
Yay, Thursday! No brisket recipe here, sorry.
QOTD- Not as a general rule, no. When I'm traveling domestically and receive unknown calls from a location I'm in, yes. Like the Louisiana numbers when I was in New Orleans, since there was a super high chance they're related to the trip (they were). The rest of the time, never. Not even my work phone, anymore.
My extractions were rescheduled to the 31st by the surgeon two days ago, so I've been shuffling all the plans. Yesterday the orthodontist did an adjustment instead of just reapplying the bracket, so we also shuffled that next appointment to the first week of April. They trimmed the wire that was scratching and put the bracket on lower so I can bite down. Woo!
Another office day today. Meetings run from 7-4:15, so I better get going!
Accountability-Good! Need to pick up a new battery for my scale, though.
Exercise- walking on breaks. Hopefully recumbent bike if I can stay awake.
Menu - powerful protein shake, ratio yogurt, mushrooms, blueberries, red beans and proteins
Cheers!

CH, in reply to one of your posts yesterday, a lot of people get Dexa scans when they are near goal so that they can figure out whether they still have fat left to lose or if they are done.
