Cocaine Penguins! I wonder if they still be cute. Or would they become man-eaters?

Don't know anything about hinges but I feel the same outrage about the number of hot dogs in the package and the hotdog buns. They never match.

We JUS****ched Parenthood about a week ago! The scene with Steve Martin going off about the hot dogs and buns is a classic.

Good morning QJB and menuers,

You're a cookie machine! And I bet your house reflects it by smelling heavenly. Coming along! Hope you enjoy your movie today, and the subsequent popcorn.

This feels like a long week! Happy Thursday. Survived training, picked up the dogs, and made it home. After taking care of basics, I crashed on the couch for an hour or so. Then I did a minimal number of useful things and crawled into bed for real sleep.

Today is a bunch of meetings. I'm not going to the office and already told people. I'm counting two days of work travel and a training day as my three days. There are a considerable number of meetings today since I try to keep them off the books on Fridays. Seemed like a good idea at the time.

QOTD- Some muzzy sleep search st 2am when my brain snapped on. I don't keep my history and don't remember what it was. Many research rabbit holes here because I love learning.

Accountability- Started good, ended bad. Hotel food was sausage and fake egg patties. A couple bites of really bad yogurt. Then all they had for food all day was carbs. And coffee. Muffin, donuts, bagels, cookies, bundt cake, pasta, chips...I avoided the vast majority but had too much while searching for edible snippets. It could have been worse. I had intended to stop and shop on the way in but ran into a coworker at hotel breakfast and ended up giving him a ride instead to save him the Uber. Scale is up 3 pounds post travel. All in all, not bad.

Exercise - Recumbent bike!

Menu - Ratio yogurt, chicken, boiled eggs and mustard, spinach, blueberries, more yogurt if needed.

Cheers , everyone.

Travel at the begining of the week is tough. I much prefer late week meetings so that I come home on Friday and go straight into the weekend.

Think I'm on board with you there! Back in the days when I had a team that required my own scheduled travel, I would come back on Friday. Sadly, I suspect it will be harder to influence folks at these conferences.

My brain is telling me the week is over with two days left. And with a solid 12 hours of meetings today and tomorrow, it's just running to catch up.

We are an org that loves meetings. About other meetings. To plan more meetings. Woo!

Our hybrid policy formally recognizes travel, customer/vendor visits, in person training, in person events as "in office" days, which is very nice.

That is nice! Ours is purposefully vague as it's supposed to allow for some flexibility. Unfortunately, that also means interpretation and all teams see it differently. They want you in most of the time. Super helpful. This is where the small print kicks in with the caveats that are defined by each individual team.

Back on the bike. Good for you. That means you have healed up well. Good news.

Less tenderness and pulling, for sure! I'm still being careful but figure it's better to get back to it and build up slowly. And thanks!
