Hello there

The cookies sound yum

I had a good day with general mood/water/food all working together, so I'm happy with that. It's a roller coaster!

I am currently fascinated by a few UK recent RYN patients (via Instagram)and the diet the UK health system put them on! So different, looks crazy to me but I am a little jealous also haha

qotd: I googled 'Swans fixture' , needed to look up our (my football team's) first home game in a few weeks to remind myself.

Food is standard but I'll have some eggs again tomorrow and I cooked up a lovely savoury turkey mince (ground beef) with mushrooms and red beans and a touch of chilli, loved it.

Enjoy your day everyone!

One of the things that continues to surprise me is how very different every programs diet/rules/prep can be. I think it's super important to adhere to your program's plan until you're healed and then take a look at everyone's to find out what works best for you. It's very trial and error but I firmly believe that if you develop the long term strategy that works for you vs trying to fit into someone else's plan you can be more successful....but that's only after full recovery.

I'll be sticking to my nutritionists plan for the year and then review. I just am fascinated by stark differences across the globe and even across cities! Weird.

I'm five years out and so far learning about the variations hasn't gotten old!

Agreed, PP. I think adhering to a plan is important, partly (sorry) not so much because one plan is better than another. It's important because we really need to train ourselves to make a plan and stick to it. When we go off plan, it becomes a slippery slope.

Interesting. Do you know what American team or player started to take advantage of the punting skills of Australian Rules' kickers?

Matt, I researched a bit and there's actually a sports academy in Australia that trains Australian Rules Football players for the NFL.

Darren Bennett was probably first, he had played an ok / shortish professional AFL career and then went to the Chargers in the NFL and is in their Hall of Fame.

Ben Graham who played 219 games for Geelong in the AFL (our peak professional comp) was the first one that really got next level attention here for whatever reason. Was recruited to the Jets, then Saints, then Cardinals and then the Lions.

This recent Superbowl was the first time there was an Aussie on both sides, so it had a lot more interest than normal. Australians interest is more often in the famous commercials lol but this year it was a bigger sports story.

Superbowl is on Monday morning our time so only the real NFL fans watch it I guess but it seems to be growing in popularity with young men anyway.
