What's on your Tuesday Menu?
on 2/28/23 3:25 am
Good morning and happy Tuesday everyone!
QJB - I have chosen not to eat, I have not had food to eat, and I have not had time to eat but I have never forgotten to eat. I wouldn't mind developing that skill!
I'm back to work today; just finished my last rowing workout of Feb -- it was a quick one because I have my personal trainer tonight too -- just a 20 minute session of 1 minute "row as fast as you can" interspersed with 3 rounds of 3 types of squats; I even did all three rounds of the jump squats which I usually turn into squat to calf raise. I think it's breaking up some of the gunk in my lungs (or at least I hope so). I am at 115 miles rowed YTD so making good progress on my 600 mile goal for the year.
I have my trainer afterwork, have to finish folding all the laundry I did yesterday and my foyer looks like a tornado hit it so I need to get that sorted today, so that's all that's on my agenda.
QOTD - yes but pretty intermittently, usually when it's small purchases or individual services. CC fees are pretty expensive for small businesses.
Menu today
coffee plus half and half X3
Cold brew skyr
4 oz lemon pepper deli chicken plus slice cheese
4 oz ever roast plus slice cheese
bunless burger or taco meat
Have a Terrific Tuesday everyone!

Honestly, it's not great that I can get so zoned into a project that all self-awareness and self-care goes away. I certainly don't forget when I am hanging out, but when I hyper focus on a school or work project I can go for a day without eating, drinking, peeing... it's so weird.
I hate jump squats with a passion.

I don't believe in them. I'm sure it's part of a plot.

Good morning, everybody!
I had a snatch PR yesterday, 60 kilos. PR for squat snatch, and also for anything that would be close to passing a judge's muster at a meet. I have done a pressed out power snatch at 61 kilos. Getting my squat snatch higher than power snatch will be a sign that I am actually making some progress towards competence.
To qualify for nationals at my age I need to be more like 70 kilos. And a correspondingly higher clean and jerk. (Or stay where I am for three years and age into the 60-65 year old group). But a PR is always exciting.
I am up another pound this week. I can't get off of this Glipizide fast enough. Whole 30 starts Saturday.
Today I am in the office and actually fairly busy.
QOTD: When we went to the fundraiser on Saturday night, it was cash to get in, cash for the bake sale, and cash for raffle tickets. It was probably the second most cash that I have spent in one place since COVID. First would be tips for deckhands on various fishing trips. Generally, I only use cash at gas stations for drinks, protein bars, etc.
Breakfast: Fritatta
Lunch: Ahi tuna salad
Dinner: Chicken
Have a great day, all!
