People are nuts and ate now raised in an instant gratification culture where they don't learn to cope when things don't go their way. That lack of coping skills results in...a lot of tragedy.
Good luck on your evaluation today! I hope they appreciate the value you bring! It does make my blood boil when executives who push high performance culture make a point of telling you that all the amazing, above and beyond things you do are the new expectation of average. Really makes you want to do more, huh? Fingers crossed for you!
Sounds like you have a great weekend and a fun trip planned!

G'morning all!
Haha, I have so many funny stories about pineapple on pizza. Strangely enough I don't mind it, I would never confess to it while in Italy but here you would see me order a Hawaiian pizza once in a while. It was DS's favorite pizza as a kid and he couldn't care less we were in Italy, so embarrassing. The first time DH introduced me to it I thought he had gone crazy, but after the first bite I saw his rationale.
Well, we are still dealing with freezing rain, thunder storms and snow on the peaks. Last night there were some huge thunders to the point I seriously thought there was a tank rolling down our street. Today the freeway going from the coast to Silicon Valley is shut down due to snow. My pic is from yesterday with just some snow on the trees. We haven't had snow at the summit for at least 10 years.
QOTD: none, I really don't like the shows where people's emotions get multiplied due to either back stage shenanigans or guests thinking they can get air time. My real life has enough emotions for me, I don't need to show it to strangers. I'd like to be in a show where they have me taste their baking goods, but I'm not expected to go into nuances about flavor and texture. Just give me the goods; if I take a bite and put it down it's not so good, if I stuff my face with it, it's yum. Is that too much to ask?
My meals yesterday: (power was coming and going all day long)
- Coffee
- Epic chicken & protein puffs
- protein pudding, jello
- Scrambled eggs & turkey links
- E: an hr of elliptical (got dressed and all pumped up to go out for my wog but it was raining too much)
Happy Fri-yay!
