What's on your Thursday Menu?
Liquid aminos seem like a good soy sauce substitute. I tend to like the taste of soy sauce more than liquid aminos though. For the extra chemicals and preservatives, I just think of them as extra flavor!

Salmon sashimi shouldn?t be accountability, that?s about as protein forward as you can get.
Love sushi.

I do use the Bragg's Liquid Aminos. I don't notice much difference in taste. I think I started because it was an ingredient for a recipe as a "healthier" choice.

That's the exact brand and the reason why I started using it too. After comparing nutritional labels yesterday, I think I am going back to light soy sauce. Take that, Corporate BIG MONEY, liquid amino companies!

Good morning! Brrrr it's chilly (for us) outside. All the way up to 43 after a night in the 30's. So rearranging my walk schedule to wait for warmth.
My back is again, definitively better then yesterday. Still sore, but I'm moving more and more. We had a fun lunch with friends (my lunch pick was to eat a bit of the insides of a cheeseburger and side of fruit), did a few chores and then met up with the gal who's house sitting for us for the walk through. Just busy enough of a day. Dinner ended up being more left overs from the fridge and freezer, but essentially, I ate just the remaining parts of a nice fat pork chop on the bone. No beverages other than water were consumed.
Today is an appt for Rog with a sleep specialist. He "failed" his sleep test in a spectacular way and was once again diagnosed with severe obstructive sleep apnea. So he officially meets all the qualifications required for the Inspire Implant. After we meet with the sleep specialist today, he'll submit his report to the surgeon and they will then submit to Insurance for approval. We are hopeful (well, honestly, I am hopeful) that we can have everything approved and he can have the surgery when we return from the trip. Now if only I don't murdalize him in the next 3-4 months! Then we have a few errands and we are going to have lunch out. After lunch he has a dentist appt and I am going to start walking towards home and have him pick me up when he sees me. I'll get 50-60 minutes of walking in this way. It's all on sidewalks, so it shouldn't be too rough on my back. At least that's plan and hope.
QoTD: I have to learn to relax and let go. On this trip, we have exactly 6 out of approximately 120 nights planned. We'll be looking for the next night's resting place after we set up each day. This is incredibly stressful for me to not have every detail planned out. But it will be good for me to learn to be more flexible and embrace the moment.
Menu today
B: leftover innards of the burger
L: maybe the innards of a fish taco?
D: Need to pick something up or make TJ's orange chicken. Somehow I have three bags and neither one of us like it very much.
Peace Everybody!

Have you been able to talk to anyone that has had that implanted in them. There is no way I would put it in me till I talk to someone who actually had it. Ron did a trial for his Spine stimulator, and it went well. Once he had it put in it has done nothing for him. I would ask if I could talk to other patients first. Just saying.
HW 299 SW 290 CW 139 GW 140 2/08/2019 OPERATION: Surgical Hernia with excision of total surface area of 55 x 29 cm of abdominal skin.
One of the tasks given to Roger today at the sleep therapist's office was a list of people who have had the procedure. He has to reach out and talk to them about their process and their results. He also has to log in to a webinar and participate in that. In general, the recovery rate at one year is 94% of sleep partners report no snoring, and at the 5 year mark, 93%. Plus (and this is very important to us) this is just embedded under the skin with a probe that goes to the neck. You activate it each evening and turn it off each morning with a remote control device. Roger is having more than 66 stop breathing events per hour with his apnea. His oxygen saturation level is dropping to low 80's on some of them. That is heart attack territory. So besides my sanity, this could save/extend his life and can be removed if needed. It takes up to one year for them to get it dialed in. So if he survives our road trip in close quarter with me, he should have better health over all after it's implanted and calibrated.
