What's on your Thursday Menu?

Hey Amy, why did you decide on a revision? And will it be non invasive?
on 2/16/23 12:51 pm
I decided on a revision because I have gained back half of my weight loss and I can't turn it around on my own. Plus with the failure comes depression, I feel 100 years old and I'm miserable. It will be laparoscopic surgery.

Poor thing but I'm sure it will be worth it. Are you excited by the new opportunity?
Can you eat almost normally now? is that what stage it got for you?
Intrigued by the difference, someone on BariatricPal (a site I've left - hate it) reckons he has same restriction from 20 years ago while others say after 6 months they were eating as quickly as before surgery just a bit less.
Never consistent!

It took a long time to get here mentally, but yes, I'm very excited!
I do have restriction. It'**** or miss though based on what I'm eating.
I've learned: we don't all have the same experience, the same size pouch or the same results.
We are all different. What works for one, doesn't work for all. So find and do what works for you!

I'm so happy you're excited and ready!
Yes, I'm working out very quickly that it's very much a personal experience the RNY! So glad I found this thread. The rest of the WLS internet is so toxic and somewhat a bit trolly TBH!

The drama and toxicity can be very high in some of those groups. This is not that! I have told my RD that telling me about this site was her best recommendation, not sure how she felt about that, lol. (And I had a great RD but I learned more from the people here -- they've been through it)!

Exactly! It's all about finding what works from you. That takes it from just another diet to making your life work for you! You are such an inspiration!

Good Morning! Friday-Eve! JB, those flowers look amazing and I know yours will look even better, can't wait to see them. Well this morning while walking in the treadmill my left (my "good" leg) cramped up really really badly in my calf somewhere. I had to stop and I've been trying to massage some tightness out with my ball roller and using compression socks/icyhot (it's what we have) and Tylenol hoping it settles down. I am wondering if I did something during PT last night or what happened since I was just walking. Ugh
