Good morning! Fingers are typing but arms are resting on the table top. I am tired. Physically. And it's not over yet. But wow is my rock project looking nice. We officially bought and moved, 485 pounds of flagstone. We had to move it from the truck up 7 stairs and rest it in the yard, and then from the yard to project area. We did get help moving the last biggest piece from the yard to correct area. We also got 3000 pounds of decomposed granite. Because of the rains we had the last few weeks, it is very, very heavy and twice the weight it should be. We shoveled it from the trailer, into 5 gallon buckets and then carried those up the stairs. I'm going to say I moved about 1000 pounds of it and Roger did the rest. We had to stop working on it last night because 1) it was getting dark and 2) I was about to actually start crying from exhaustion. It was too late to start cooking dinner, so I ran to the taco shop and had a taco for dinner -- accountability for yesterday.

Today I am much less sore than expected, but I definitely feel every single muscle in my body. There is much more to do today, but I am going to start by spray painting the furniture I have for this area while Rog goes for blood work. Then we have to work on leveling more. After that, it's moving all the little rocks in between the flagstone, another coat of DG and then brushing it all clean and it should done. Hopefully by tomorrow.

I am supposed to do the stairs today, but I am not sure I have it in me. Maybe a walk at least. And then we have a super fun date tonight to a speak easy and then a coastal, Mexican influenced restaurant for dinner with friends. I've volunteered to be DD, so I won't be drinking -- jus****ching and enjoying the company.

QoTD: I only have a half of one. Rog and I love Crest cinnamon toothpaste. Can't get it in at least So. California. Maybe the whole state. I think it has to do with the whole red dye fiasco from a few years ago. But we have learned we can order it from out of state -- so red dye be damned.

Menu today is squirrely.

B: leftover brussels sprouts and pork belly

L: white chicken bean soup I just pulled from the freezer

D: dinner out. Haven't reviewed the menu yet, but may before I go to support good choices.

Peace Everybody!

First off, wow, that's a lot of work. No wonder yiu are sore.
Second - I love cinnamon toothpaste. If you have an Eataly near by in their grocery section they sell cinnamon toothpaste (Marvis), it's one of the oldest brands of toothpaste. Every time I go to Italy I load up on cinnamon toothpaste.

It sounds like you did more than your allotted exercise yesterday and deserve an "active rest" day today with "just" a walk.

Oh no, you even had the five gallon bucket? That's all I had to move the gravel mountain I inherited here and I can still feel the handle cutting into my hands from the dozens of trips carrying them. Your poor arms! I wish you quick recovery and beautiful landscaping.

When I was younger I would have done what you are doing. We moved a whole office a few time, that included moving furniture, boxes with files, cabinets, etc...

Now - as I got older - and my back and other parts of me are hurting - one look at something and its "nope". I don't even attempt to do things like that. I seldom even use vacuum cleaner because the slight bending at the waist and the body movement while vacuuming aggravates my spinal nerves. (we have Roomba, Keith does light vacuuming and I hire people to do general cleaning...) The few car accidents left me with some damage that got worse over the years.

BTW: hiring someone to help with house chores is less expensive that when I do that- because the pain and treatments I need after I aggravate my back are more expensive. Plus when I can't work - I can't make money...

I've been sooo busy and stressed with meetings at work. Today I'm planning to have a better day.
Even with the stress, I still followed keto, and I wasn't tempted with the chocolate I brought to the meetings. Or pastries at home. first 2 days, they decided to skip lunch, so I had some cheese (I shared some of my cheese with them), then had some food - keto, later, when I was working on reports and data. The last day we ordered pizza for them, and I don't eat pizza, so I skipped that meal. FYI: pizza upsets my pouch for 48+ hrs, giving me a wicked burn - GERD, seriously. I was always that way even before RNY. The combination of bread, tomatoes, cheese, meats - just irritates my insides. And nothing helped with that, meds, Rx meds, Tums... I would even lose my voice by the end of the second day...

I still eat too much cheese, so my weight stays stable. Not gaining, not losing.

QOTD: some supplements that were pulled of the market 15 years ago - I bought a bunch of stock s they were stop selling it and still have some. Yea, I bought a lot. I miss some tea Keith and I got used to drink daily. I still find a similar one on amazon or ebay, and then I buy 6 or 12 packs. Some items, like some teas, I can still find, but the price tripled or got even higher and Im not going to spend $20 on a box of tea that used to be $3-$4 . There were a few people that tried to scam me (ebay) but when I did not get the tea, I reported them and got the money back. Last but not least - Stuff in Costco...they have something at a reasonable price, but once the lot is gone, they don't have it anymore. ugh... I stock some items when I try something and I like it, but food gets old - stale.

Today eats:

B coffee, tea, more coffee and tea

L: cheese.

S: apple and cheese..

D: chicken with pickles or beef + eggs frittata. depends if I eat dinner at work (need to work late today again) or get home early enough to eat dinner.

It's going to rain today and for the rest of the week. UGH. I can eel tha in my joints.
