Yesterday I had lunch with two friends from school. One I meet in high school, the other I met in first grade. I am on the planning committee and love the reunions. The next one with be 60 years. I still have a good time with the old friends from school and have made friends with many people from my class that I did not hang out with in school.

We attended my husband's 50th class reunion in 2009. He had taken a girl to prom and then ditched her to go drinking with his buddies. It bothered him all his life. At the reunion, he found her and apologized. She said she did not remember. It was either dementia or she really forgot it, but he was still relieved that he finally apologized.

One sad part about reunions is how many people have died in the ten years since the last one. There was a girl I was so excited to see again and she was coming and passed away two days before the reunion.

Facebook has been wonderful for people my age who have connected with so many old friends. You may find yourself going back to reunions as you get older and have more time for things like that.

about half of my childhood friends have died - and I'm only in my 60s. It's scary (most had cancer - but there were a couple of freak accidents and one committed suicide)

It gets worse every year. Cancer does take a lot of them. I keep hoping for a cure for it.

Lots to choose from. Is anything catching your eye? I am trying to keep my car for three more years. When winter ends I want to get it detailed so that it will feel new for awhile.

Well, the next in line for a car is John and that is a few years away most likely. With Emily and I both having Toyotas I lean towards them. The business office is in the Toyota dealership, so I see more of those than the others.

My son would have loved a Tacoma, but they were so hard to find.
