Mornin' Everyone!

I've been up since 3:15. UGH I hate this! I think even the cat was annoyed...

nothing on the agenda today which is great because we're having an Arctic freeze day here as well. Thankfully, it'll be in the 20s and 30s for the next few days starting tomorrow. So relief is coming, QJB! (weather at least in the northern part of the country usually goes from west to east...). Not much on tap for the weekend, either. I'm going to try to get a lot of reading done for classes - and read the book for my book discussion group - and watch a film for my film discussion group. It'll be a busy weekend after all!

QOTD: well, I guess I'm technically an old person (although I don't feel that way). But I'm not much on going out at night anymore, and there are some days I really don't want to leave my house at all. Well, and then there's the getting up early. I rarely sleep later than 6:00 am. I never would have anticipated that years ago - if I didn't have work or school the next day, I wouldn't even go to bed until around 3:00 am!

B: protein oatmeal topped with plain Greek yogurt and fruit, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: salad with shredded chicken and light dressing

AS: protein muffin or baby carrots with hummus

D: I'm again thinking of 1/2 a veggie burger on 1/2 a bun, but knowing me, I'll want something else by then...

Covered by a blanket and with a cat. That's my kind of a day. I only used blankets when it was very cold in the house or for the cat. Now - my knees hate cold, love warmth so blankets are always within my reach.

I hate the waking up in the middle of the night thing too, Trish. Sometimes, I will read and that gets me back to sleep.

that does it for me sometimes, too. And sometimes playing a youtube video of Tibetan singing bowls helps (the cat who sleeps with me loves that, too!), but for some reason, nothing was doing it last night (I tried both). I finally just gave up and got out of bed!

I will put on my audiobook if I wake at a super early time and want to go back to sleep. It helps settle the mind then I drift back to sleep. After I wake up, I have to find out where I last remember being at in the book, which is usually not too difficult.
