Good morning, everybody!
It takes me over an hour to pack to go somewhere, but I can pack to go home in like five minutes. Just throw everything in the bag and go. I got home at about 7:30 last night. After dinner we jus****ched a little bit of Television and went to bed. I much prefer to travel mid-week, so that I get home on a Friday or a Thursday, but I had no choice in this schedule.
I saw this interesting chart of happiness by age. I tried to copy and paste it into photos and upload it to OH. The copying and pasting worked but the uploading didn't. I will try again.
I didn't do anything to independently verify the data collection methods, or even that the chart represented the data collected. And I know that even within a data set, there are wide variances of individual experiences, but with that said, here are the conclusions:
Mary's age group is at peak happiness for adults. I found that pretty consistent with her posts. It seems that adult happiness peaks from about the time of traditional retirement age until health starts to decline. Later 50's and into 60's are a happy time that gets happier. Most of us are in or approaching these Golden Years, at varying rates of ascent.
What about QJB and Kelly, though? There is a relative low point of happiness in the 40's, this is referred to as the Trough of Work and Responsibility. Sorry about that guys.
Anyways, my inability to cut and paste this graph from the internet to OH may reflect that I am rapidly ascending into the Golden Years.
I am in the office today and hoping to make some progress with Salesforce once I finish my client work. Also, I forgot to tell you guys that my meeting last Friday wasn't about any of the important things that I thought it was about, so pretty much uneventful.
QOTD: I was pretty much protein shakes, cottage cheese and Premier Protein. Like QJB, every now and then I think about having a shake for old times sake.
Breakfast: Fritatta
Lunch: salad
Dinner: Chicken
Have a great day, all!

I've seen stats like that, too - people start getting happier and have a greater sense of well-being once they get into their 50s - and it continues until their health starts declining. Probably has to do with being more financially secure, being retired or close to it - kids out of the house - and not giving as much of a crap what people say or think - and less stressing over things that aren't going to matter a year from now...

Personally, I am loads more satisfied and happy with my life with each passing decade. I should be floating into my 90s on a cloud.
That's great, you have a combination of youngish health and oldish happiness at the same time.

QOTD: when I developed leaky gut syndrome- that caused allergies to whey proteins. Ery small particles of undigested protein ended up in my blood stream causing immune system to over react, and allergies. Other allergies followed.
I no longer can drink whey, or soy, or even eat foods that have whey (milk, cream, yogurt, etc.). Vegan Proteins - they still have too much lectins and fiber in them causing cramping, pain and gas in my small intestine. I do add collagen protein to my coffee but that can actually help with healing gut lining.
Another rainy day in SC yeaaaaa... (not really). I woke up congested, beside my congested cat, Dewey. He can be pitiful. And as any other day - I'm just tired. I decided to increase how much Synthroid I take. From 50, to 75 mcg. I think it works better for me.
I'll try to do that for a couple more weeks and if that works better, I'll contact my dose asking her to increase my dose. I just can't be soon tired.
Next 2 days are going to be long days at work. 12-16 hrs each. Great.
Eats?
Whatever I get when going out with the visitors. Yesterday I had Ceasar salad with shrimp for lunch, then skipped dinner with them and just have 7 oz of Swiss cheese and an apple. I wasn't really hungry.
Tonight we are probably going to a fancy place for dinner, so that's going to be interesting.
Hugs. Got to run. They are waiting for me.

Good morning and happy Groundhogs Day. Do we know yet if the Groundhog saw his shadow?? I am dreading work today. I run a non profit meal site for seniors. You would think that with seniors that you would have no drama, nope! Just got to get through the day! Good news I have a hair appointment after work that I am looking forward to.
Yesterday was another good day. I didn't feel that hungry, so I skipped dinner. I have been having an epsom salts bath every night with lavendar and it is really helping me sleep.
QOTD- Bone broth. I buy it powdered on Amazon. If I am craving something savory or if I am cold it hits the spot. It has great protein and the collagen is a bonus. I also love cottage cheese.
Food plan for today-
Eggwich
2 boiled eggs ( lunch at work)
Protein collagen shot
Grilled chicken with basil, lemon and garlic, broccoli
Lots of water and hot tea, vitamins always.
Have a great day everyone. The weekend is almost here.
