You had the dream and made it happen. If you had not done this you would have always wondered if you missed an opportunity. Whatever you decide, your life was richer for having added this to your memories and accomplishments.

At the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly so his place will never be with those cold and timid souls who never know victory or defeat. Theodore Roosevelt.

Oh, I'd hate to see you quit your cookie business since it seems to give you joy despite the state laws... I hope you can figure a way around the problem.

ouch. $150 per person is very high. Is the food covered with gold or something? Ideally I would tell them what was my budget (i.e. $1000) and if they want to cover the rest, good for them.

Life is interesting. Yesterday weather was dreadful and even though I planned to work late, one look out the window, all dark and foggy, and the plans were scrapped for going home at 5:40 pm. Nope - foggy and dark in SC don't match. Keith was happy because when it's a bad weather, he worries about me driving in that (I've got double vision and partial night blindness). And for me fog is worse than rain. We have too many dears and too many bad drivers on the roads.

QOTD: lately I listen to audiobooks. Different genres. They keep me more sane. Except I get very vivid dreams and first thing am I sometimes wonder if it was a dream or my memory from some trips or something else...

My eating is up in an air. I'm just not hungry lately. I even increased my cortisone, but I still have no apatite. I'm just tired.

the food plan is:

L (late): maybe omelet with some chopped beef and cheese.

S: apple?

D: ugh... maybe some smoked turkey breast, pickles and avocado. l'll get hungry before the day is over.

exercise: I got up, stretched, got ready for work... gave the cat some Churu... cleaned the broken glass (partially only, battery died)... so.. not much today. I would be happy to get 2500-3000 steps today. And I wonder why I'm not losing weight...???? yea.

I messed up my shoulder a few weeks ago. It's the right shoulder and I'm tired of the pain. I normally get acupuncture every 2 weeks, but I schedule it every week to get that under control. I also got the arm immobilization belt to help it, plus as a reminder that I need to be mindful with the right shoulder. I also use it for sleeping. So - we'll see. Normally injury like that can take weeks if not months to heal. Yea.. I don't have time for that. lets hope with treatments and gentle exercise I could use my shoulder in a month or 2.

I need to move more. Maybe the thyroid meds would help. My doc told me that I should feel better in a month or so. It takes time to build it in a system.

What surprised me was that she was very adamant about not taking supplements with iodine (seaweed). She is one of the docs that really knows her stuff and I do trust her in that. But I need to read on it: "Trust but verify"

I don't know why or where but I feel like I have heard iodine and thyroid medicine don't mix but that's one of those weird things that is in my head and I'm not sure where it came from!

right? I felt tired and I had low T4 so I sued to take seaweed pills or capsules hoping that maybe I'm missing that, and thyroxine. Apparently that was not what I would have done.

If your thyroid is failing taking iodine supplements can make is worse???? again.. I need to research that, but I can see why trying to push thyroid to make more T4 can deplete it more???
