What's on your Thursday Menu?
Ouch. The 40% when people worked remotely for a few years sucks. But that still 2 days in, 3 days out. Still not too badly.
We have been working on site non stop, but in manufacturing you need that. Specially telecommunications. Ugh.
Keith is used to 2 days a week now. But the issue is with not assigned desks so everytime he has to go, he never knows where he would be sitting. Plus he needs to bring all stuff with him and take it back home. Computer and stuff. Add safety shoes, and the backpack gets bigger and heavier....

Interesting how quickly word gets out. I'd sign up for 40%, especially if it counts travel. But then, I'm expected in at least half the time already, which means three days the way it plays out.

Good luck with the work challenges. I like your flatbread toppings. I need to make an appetizer for Saturday. I may skewer those ingredients on a fancy pick and add a tortellini and slice of salami and call it a day.

Good mornin everyone.
JB, I think your mom is being unreasonable if she expects you to pay that price even if you were employed. That's a hefty price!
I found out yesterday I have to have a blood patch on my spinal nerve sack. I developed a slight headache Tuesday and they want to make sure and be safe. I have a bit of loose fluid in my stomach but they don't seem overly concerned with that. I'll have the blood patch done Monday mornin. Remember the neck thing? It was probably related to this whole thing. I was informed to lay low and drink a lot of caffeine for the next week or so. When they filled the pump yesterday it didn't hurt much at first but it's pretty sore at the site they went in at. Of course it was right on the incision so that's why.
No plans for me today. I want to get out but my mom won't let me. I don't want to do a lot of stuff but my mom won't have it. Which of course I know is the right thing.
QOTD: my best thing is to show a screenshot of my latest additions to my running playlist. Lewis Capaldi is my kind of guilty pleasure compared to the others...but I do love his voice.
B: special K and coffee
L: white bean and spinach soup

Do you start feeling some relief from pain by now? With the meds in pain pump.

Not really yet. They have to do titration so they started it at almost the lowest dose possible.

Good morning, everybody!
Darn it. I committed to Marilyn that I would drive my son home from Birmingham on April 28th so that she could go to Meet, Love, Play in Kiawah.
Because if I hadn't done that, this post would have been suggesting beachfront VRBO's for a meet-up at Willie Nelson's 90th Birthday Bash April 29-30th. But I can't see any sane way that I can get to Alabama Friday, pack up, drive back to Chicago and be drinking Bloody Mary's at the Hollywood Bowl the morning of the 29th.
Also, do I know if the Hollywood Bowl is close to the Ocean? Of course not.
Anyways, the concert looks awesome: Willie, Neil Young, Bob Weir, Sheryl Crowe, Lyle Lovett, Snoop Dog, The Chicks, The Avett Brothers. So far 30 bands are committed with more to be announced.
My thumb is getting better. I will go to the gym tonight, but probably no olympic lifting this week to rest it.
QOTD: It's not new, but Little Feat's Waiting For Columbus live album will warm you up on a cold winter day. And if you haven'****ched the Last Waltz in awhile, pop that in the DVD. I know that Grim enjoys it.
Breakfast: Bagel
Lunch: Steak
Dinner: TBD.
Have a great day, all!

I'm gonna say something out there...I always wondered why Marylin is the only one doing all this driving back and forth with your sons. So good on her, and you, to do some of the driving.
