Muahaha! Your meme has me rolling.
Fun fact - when I was a kid we actually had to break out the top of the storm door to climb onto the snow banks to get to school one day. And then, we moved to Georgia where a quarter of an inch cleared grocery store shelves.
The day of snowmageddon from that top photo, I was working. Did leave early like all these folks but decided to take surface highways home. Saw some things that day, and one of my employees at the time was one of many camping overnight on I-285 after the road treatment failures. I do try to give grace because places like Atlanta are much less equipped to handle the weather but boy, that was crazy.

we moved from northern Ohio to Raleigh, NC when I was a junior in high school. Northern Ohio gets A LOT of snow because of Lake Erie - moreso than what we get here in Wisconsin (where I live now). Anyway, a big snow storm in Raleigh is like an inch of snow. There are winters when they get none at all, and usually when they do, it's just a dusting or maybe a half inch. I remember being stunned the first time they closed the schools for snow - there was like a half inch out there! But like in Georgia (re: the above comment), they don't have the equipment to deal with it (they do get ice storms, though - those scare me a lot more than snow storms!!)
I agree! Ice storms are the worst, I prefer having feet of snow over inches of ice any day!

Friday already?! Ah, I am old enough to remember when weekends meant a break but these days so many people than I remember seeming to have alternative schedules.
JB - Goodness on that schedule you have going on. I have no doubt you can tackle it, but I am sure it will be a feat of a different kind. That is sweat that Grim surprised you like that. In a theater!
Good morning, everybody!
QJB, I enjoyed that movie also (and the popcorn). We went in Burlington when I was in Boston two weeks ago.
Happy Fri-Yay, guys!! I looked at my datebook last night and figured out that since September 22nd this will be the second weekend for which I did not (a) travel, (b) have houseguests, or (c) have the kids home. The one weekend that we were at home and alone was mostly spent at the Ford dealership.
I signed up for the Crossfit Open last night. It starts February 16th. I have not decided whether I will go for the scaled or RX divisions. It is going to depend mostly on whether I can improve my double under jump roping in the next four weeks. One of the things that I want to do this weekend is to plan out my routine for the next quarter or so, and hopefully can figure out when I can do that. Also, those blasted wall walks.
We have that after holiday party on Saturday night, but otherwise it is going to be a weekend of fitness and getting organized. I want to start reading the Becoming a Supple Leopard book that I got for Christmas.
QOTD: I see her once a year. I like her and she is knowledgeable. I also did a 9 part on-line nutrition course and got a certificate. But I don't feel like I am putting what I know into use. That is part of getting organized this weekend.

Have a great day, all!
