Morning everyone. Friday already? Wow! Weeks really go by a lot faster when I'm in school. Yesterday was a fun day. Grim kidnapped me mid-day and took me to a matinee. It was my first movie theater since January 2020!! Wild. We saw A Man Called Otto with Tom Hanks. It was good (although I sobbed throughout the whole thing)! You know what else is good? Movie popcorn. Yeah... oops. I had waaaaay too much.

I think that was the only fun little event for me for the next week. Both of my classes have so much more work than my previous classes, so I need to make steady daily progress. I used to be able to give myself "weekends", but I don't think that will be possible for the next 7 weeks, especially because I am teaching 5 cookie classes in the next 2 months, so that will take up all of my free time. No big deal, just a new schedule to get used to.

QOTD: Do you see a nutritionist on a regular basis? I really like the nutritionist in my program and I find her helpful, but I haven't made the time to meet with her in a few years.

B: Costco egg bite

S: almonds and babybel

L: veggie burger on mini naan

D: tbd - ordering in with friends

Yay Friday!! I am ready for the weekend for sure.

qotd - nope. I had a really good RD with my program and I still rely on what she tought me every day but once I went back to full time work travel and was going over my approach with her, she told me that I?d hit the point where finding what was successful for me was more important that her guidelines that were more general. I appreciated her belief that one size doesn?t fit all. She also mentioned that ?nutritionist? training/rules/certifications had been very lax for a long time but was starting to get more rigorous. It sounds like at one point any of us probably could have hung out a shingle as freelance nutritionists, lol.

Busy work day, flight and then home! Should be a pretty low key weekend, the only thing in my agenda is trying to see the movie we couldn?t see on Monday, Women Talking. I?m going to enjoy the lower activity because looking ahead, next two weeks are work and personal busy. I also need to do one of the endurance rowing sessions and at least one round of my boxing ti keep my 43 week streak going.

menu today will be some variation on coffee, protein bars, meat sticks and ratio yogurt.

Sunsets can be pretty everywhere!

I would totally sign up to work with your RD. I wish they all understood that there has to be room to find what works for you! Pretty sunset. Safe travels!

I like the way the RD thinks! My RD at my first bariatric clinic was overweight (Not Obese) and I had a hard time buying what she was selling.

Good mornin everyone.

Not to much planned today. Not sure if we have the kids or not. All I want to do is sleep but every time I wake up I wake up in so much pain. I got a message from FB asking me if I needed help...I had made a post saying I wish the pain would jump off a high cliff. Not myself...hopefully they won't block my account because of it.

I get my staples out Tuesday but we're supposed to get snow starting Monday night. I'm not happy about this! I'm hoping for very little snow, we need to moisture but I also need these staples out!

QOTD: no, I know what I need to do I just need to do it.

B: JUST egg bowl and coffee x2

L: ????

D: ????

S: ????

choker I finished for my friends and an internet cat from a FB group...I just thought we'd all be able to relate!

That choker is gorgeous! It looks like it would be really light for such a substantial piece but I really have no idea, lol

You do such beautiful work, Mel!

I guess it's good that FB algorithms are trying to pay attention to things but I'm with you...wishing your pain would leave you in peace! And that you don't get too much snow next week.
