Oh, funny! This is the first team I've been on that does the same thing! Ours is coming up. Good to know that's a thing.

Ugh, that office creep seems to be a common theme as we continue the push for "normal" and companies feel they're gaining leverage again.

I'm with you...would love 1-2. We're currently mandated at 3 during a full work week, or at least, I am. I bet there's some daily or weekly assessment going on as to how much longer you want to stay. Glad you're winding down on college expenses!

Mornin' All!

I was originally planning to go to a coffee social this morning at 9:30, but we got an inch or two of snow overnight, so I might skip it. It's not awful and if it were a doctor's or dentist appt I'd go, but for this - maybe not. I don't want to risk sliding around on residential streets (I'm guessing they've cleared the main roads by now...). I have a Webinar at noon - but nothing else today. I have several things I could work on today, though.

still haven't heard anything about the classes I requested at the Madison campus. I'm tempted to request permission to audit one or two more, just in case I don't get into any of the ones I've already requested, but if I do that, I'll likely get way too many approvals next week. I hate it when some of these instructors wait until the last minute to let auditors in. HATE IT. It's hard to plan when you don't hear anything until the day before classes begin, if not THE day classes begin. And it also means I'll likely end up getting approvals for classes I can't take, because I'm not going to take six (or whatever) classes. And I also worry that if I put in requests for more than one or two "backup" classes, someone else *****ally wants to take the class won't be approved because the instructor has already approved however many auditors they'd planned to approve. I especially don't understand why they wait so long to act when it's a virtual class - or an in-person class that still has a gazillion unfilled seats. Oh well That's just the way it goes.

QOTD: Centrum Silver (or more often, the generic equivalent), Integrative Therapeutics B complex (because it always gets outstanding reviews), Superior Source for K, D, and B12 (because they're all dissolvable - imperative for B12, but with the others, just so it cuts down on the number of pills I have to swallow), carbonyl iron (usually the CVS house brand) which I take with chewable Vitamin C (just a generic brand). Magnesium (also generic). My endocrinologist took me off calcium about a year ago because I was excreting a ton of it, and she said I was at risk for kidney stones or kidney damage because of it - so it seemed evident that I wasn't having a problem absorbing calcium through food (my calcium and PTH levels have been tested a few times since then (more than yearly, anyway), and they're still on target). I just take it on the rare days I get below the 100% RDA recommendation for calcium (which I probably don't have to do since most days, I'm way over that - if not WAY over..)

B: might make protein oatmeal later this morning - topped with plain Greek yogurt and some berries. Coffee with half & half

MS: if I have my oatmeal late enough, then nothing since it's pretty filling (this is the current plan - to have it late)

L: either chickpea/miso spread on 35-calorie bread, or chocolate "mousse" topped with raspberries

AS: protein muffin

D: the vegan meatballs with marinara sauce that I ended up not having last night

ex: given the snowy roads, I'll do some youtube cardio video

have a great day, everyone!

What's the output/outcome/impact of auditing the classes? I'm curious what the consequences are to the school if you flag issues or concerns with meeting competencies/learning objectives. Like...so many questions I won't post. :)

I think in this case auditing just means attending for no credit and not having to test. I think you are thinking auditing like ISO/competence/performance auditing (what my new team does!)

Oh hey, didn't know that kind of auditing was a thing. That's great!

You're right, I'm thinking more along the lines of ISO and outcomes auditing. It would make sense for schools to drag their feet (if they had a choice) on letting people in for audits that miiight impact accreditation or anything else in that realm.

Also, that's cool for what your team does! At least, in my book. But then, I also interviewed to be an auditor at one point before turning it down because there would be too much travel required. Ah, what might have been.

exactly - attending the class without having to take any tests or write any papers - and getting no credit. I didn't even think of the other kind of auditing when I wrote that. LOL!!

That's so terrible. I hope they catch the person. High chances it was a drunk/distracted driver. That poor family.
