I think we both have the same mindset, lol! I prefer to be at the lower level too and get in my own head. All the BMI charts I look at show me in the overweight category with my current BMI...I have a difficult time being alright with that status. I didn't have bariatric surgery to stay in the "overweight" category..

Good Morning Queen JB and Menuers,

Congratulations on the Math stuff. Proud of you.

I have nothing going on today so no reason not to exercise. I think my head is in a good place and hoping to get this extra weight, I do not want, off. I'll let you know on Monday since the weekends usually breaks me.

QOTD: My little town only has 9000 people. Growing up we were very close with the Italian community, and I think I knew every person in my Senior class of about 400. I still run into people if we are out at community events, and I have a bunch of cousins like Grimm. I guess my answer is yes. Usually, can't get through the grocery without knowing someone.

QOTD- I love this community, the neighbors are friendly and we have a monthly lunch. This is the most connected that I've ever felt. But it is just the few blocks around us, the city is around 100,000 but all spread out so not really centralized. Honestly we are just a bedroom community of Portland. I will actually go talk to my neighbors when I see them out.

I have tons of work, but can't seem to get myself motivated to get it done. It's easier to check out OH and see what everyone is up to.

This is definitely a 1st world problem, but now that I have heat ducts in my bedroom it is actually too warm at night. I like it to be cool, but even with the vent closed it still gets too warm for me. I've blocked it last night with a blanket and comforter and that seemed to work, but I've ordered a magnet that goes over it so I'm hoping that will be the solution. Also my office and sewing room get too warm, I've mostly closed the vents but it's still too warm sometimes. Not sure why my roommate is keeping it so warm, he is usually always hot but for some reason he keeps it at 70 now. Maybe it's the WLS?

My roommate is on administrative leave until Friday. He's a school bus driver. He is too strict to the kids and makes them behave, which you would think the parents would appreciate, instead he thinks he's going to be fired. They think he is too intimidating, he's the size he is, and doesn't use it to scare them. But he is a big black man, so there is that. He's tried so hard, it's really disheartening for him. Keeping my fingers crossed. He's also looking for another job.

Have a great day everyone!

Bring out the summer pj's and tank tops girl. I do just because of the hot flashes. It works.

You are kinder than I am. I would be telling roommate that it's easier to put on clothes than to put blankets and such over the vents and be cranking that heat down!

Maybe your roomie could use a portable heater to help offset the cold? Sounds like you're collateral damage and I hope he works with you on a solution. I'm freezing all the time but that's also why I'm sitting here in two shirts, a hoodie, socks, slippers, and layers. Oh, and a heater. :) not nice to melt the other people in the house.

Best of luck to him on the admin leave. Times have changed when it comes to interactions with kids from everything I hear. Seems like it would be hard to be in any kid-facing job these days.
