What's on your Wednesday Menu?

Heck yes, fall leaves are beautiful there! When I buzzed through in October it was a bit late in the season but still very pretty! It was nice seeing Watkins Glen again. We used to have famil reunions there when I was a kid. Happy for your hamlet. :)

I grew up in the Elmira/Binghamton area. Watkins Glen is a gorgeous area too! I love the wine vineyards in that area. The finger lakes is a gorgeous area too! My DH and I were married at Cross Lake. Some fiends had a lakefront cabin there. Of course it was in the Fall and Tropical Storm Ernesto really played havoc with our lakeside wedding but we just shrugged our shoulders and made it work, lol.

Aww, glad you were able to make the best of it for your wedding! Too bad we can't plan the weather.

Oh boy, Binghamton! What a small world. My grandparents lived there, as well as some other family who still do. Also visited in October. Ironically, my mother texted yesterday that the Lupo's I'd visited for the first time is shutting down in Binghamton.

In a perfect world, I'd happily retire to a remote location upstate someday! I did grow up in Bridgeport and mostly Pennellville, so pretty small towns. Ah, memories.

The little town between Elmira and Binghamton called Waverly is my hometown. Howdy neighbor!

I'm not sure what today'll hold. I need to run to the post office but other than that who knows, oh yeah I do need to pick up some prescriptions too.

My incisions are starting to look a little better. They do feel better but still hurt. I have to stop taking my pain med. while I'm still having pain from surgery it is manageable but I think I was taking it for help with the other pain(s). My legs and back have been really bad. I have only been taking, at most, two a day but I need to stop. One wee****il the pain pump is filled!

My mood is down in the dumps but I'm trying to be as positive as I can muster. Thank you for the replies yesterday! I am so thankful for the support I have here.

QOTD: people "know" me but I literally have zero local friends. I know of people and get recognized by acquaintances but I don't have anyone I consider a friend other than my mom of course lol. My mom talks to the neighbors and knows their names and what not. I'm a little guarded but still friendly and nice to people. Social anxiety can make me seem standoffish at times though.

I know I have a lot of friends...just none that are local to me. I'm a bit socially awkward so I have difficulties with face to face interactions. I am blessed though with a lot of good people I call friends! I consider you a friend as well :o)
