Happy Friday Friends,
Not much at work today. I have a meeting in the early afternoon then will head off to my work out and start my weekend. This weekend DS wants to go see The Whale, so I will purchase tickets for Saturday matinee. We also need to start our skiing before the season passes us by. Especially since I purchased season tickets for the ski hill already. Monday, I need to get my nails done. Otherwise not much planned other than my usual weekend workouts. Oh, I do have a chemical peel on Sunday.
QOTD: I would love to have my kitchen through living area redone and updated. Especially would like to open up the kitchen (it currently has counters in a U shape). The area is open otherwise through to the dining area to living room (more great roomish). I would love to have more the counter removed by the dining area and replace with a large island with more storage and seating.
My pictures are from the sculpture class from last weekend with DD. She did our rottie and I sculpted our mini Goldendoodle. The sculptures are raw as they needed to be fired and glazed still.
Accountability: Great
Same meals as yesterday and the day before...
E: 60 minutes hot hatha yoga.

Cute pups! I'm not a skier but people I know have been complaining about the lack of venues. Hope you're able to find somewhere with good powder, so to speak!

QOTD- I would expand the kitchen and update my bathroom to a walk in shower. I could actually take some of the hallway to expand the bathroom, but I can survive without it as I've been here less than 6 months.
The last 2 days were awful, I had jury duty and ended up on a trial. It was domestic violence but not what I thought. It was the step daughter that attacked the husband and he was the one who was arrested and charged with Assault in the 4th degree, Harassment and 2 charges of menacing. It's a long complicated story but the mother and daughters testimony conflicted. I didn't trust the daughter she had at least 2 theft convictions, and a felony drug conviction but she said it was only for drug paraphernalia. Still a felony. She was the aggressor, but he was arrested. They were all drunk and this whole thing should not have gone forward. I don't think they should have charged him. Also he is black and the women are white, so there is that. I called it a **** show. It was really stressful, I figured that they would kick me off when I said I had been in an abusive relationship and had worked at the crisis line, and with domestic violence survivors. But I think that is why they kept me.
Fortunately we found him not guilty. The state did not prove their case, and he was really believable. So glad that is done and I won't get called for jury duty for another 2 years.
And of course we have a ton of work and I should have been doing that instead of being on a jury, but I did my duty. I also missed my nail appointment, but I rescheduled it.
I took the 2 girls in to be spayed this morning, I will probably get to pick them up after 3PM.
So now Romeo is being really needy...
Have a great day everyone!

That is great you got the outcome you felt was true. I know a man who was wrongfully charged of rape and was found not guilty by a jury. It was ashamed his family had to mortgage there home to pay for a lawyer because the women was afraid of the man who actually raped her. I am glad you did the right thing.
