What's on your Thursday Menu?

Memes related to the insane price of eggs are running rampant all over the baking community, so I thought I would share my favorite, haha. But for real, can you believe I decided to start a bakery when eggs are $6/dozen and butter is $5/lb? Oy!

But in happier cookie news, I got my CookieCon ticket! Wheee! Looks like a vacation in beautiful Sandusky OH is in my future, lol. Does anyone here live near by?

QOTD: What's a problem you need solved? Hopefully someone here will have an idea! My biggest problem is that my cats are fighting :( They are brothers from the lame litter and they were besties when they were little but they hit their 40s (in cat years) and suddenly they are in a fight that I can't understand and certainly have no idea how to solve. There are multiple attacks with lots of growls and literal fur flying throughout the day. They seem so miserable and I wish I knew how to smooth it over for them. Any ideas?

For accountability sake, let me admit that, as usual, I was on track and stuck perfectly to my menu for 3/4 of the day but blew it at the end. Better today!

Congrats on your cookie con ticket...in Ohio. Whew! Sounds like a blast and I'm sure the price of eggs will come up.

Laying on my stomach in bed now because my back hurts. Not sure what I've done to offend it but ouch. Maybe it's the hotel beds.

So after my takeoff delay yesterday the ground stop happened and we didn't have anywhere to land. In the space of an hour we diverted to Baltimore and Richmond before turning back to DC. Guess we got the tour of Virginia in flight. The airport was...empty when we landed.

First two meetings went well. Main event is today. I might walk the block to the capital before Ubering to the airport this evening. It's my Friday and that's just sinking in now. Tomorrow is my abdominal ultrasound so I do have to remember not to eat or drink in the morning.

QOTD- Think I'm good for now! Sorry about your kitty boys. Could it be related to something you can remove, like high value treats? I'm not sure about cats but that would make every day difficult.

Accountability- A bite of mashed potato and pastry from the thing that turned out to be mini shepherds pie. Couple of olives, one mini pretzel on the plane, one bite of tortilla, part of a piece of the bread that came with my crab soup.

Exercise -city walking, some stretching for my back.

Menu - no idea but will make good choices, plus protein bars!

Probably! It's huge--they have an indoor water park that is incredibly enormous!

I think that's one of the Kalahari Resorts. We have one of those in Wisconsin. I've been to a few conferences at ours - the place is crazy! African-themed rooms, giant animals (fake, of course), fake trees. It's pretty bizarre! It's probably about the same as the one in Sandusky.

Yep that is the one! The African theme is super bizarre in Sandusky OH, right? At least, apparently, they renamed the rooms to not sounds racist anymore. The rooms now say: formerly called XX (insert eye roll).

I haven't been to the one in Sandusky - just the one in Wisconsin Dells, WI - but I think they look pretty much the same. The place is kinda...weird...(or at least to me), but it seems to be very popular. A lot of organizations hold conferences there.

Great Wolf. Very popular resort. I never been but drove by heading to Put-in-Bay.
