Good morning, everybody!

Not much of a game last night. It was 17-7 when I went to the airport to get Marilyn and 45-7 when we got home. Yikes!

When I was home, one of my sisters had lost a bunch of weight. I didn't want to pry as to how, so i just told her that she looked great and left it at that. I assume that if she had surgery she would have asked me about it.

My older son starts classes today, my younger son started his yesterday. Marilyn mostly cleaned up my older son's apartment during her time in Colorado. She was not pleasantly surprised to find the socks and underwear that she bought him during the fall semester in their packages, unwrapped.

We leave for the Bronco Offrodeo on Friday morning. The actual driving class is all day on Saturday. Friday afternoon Marilyn booked massages for us at the hotel spa. The next three days don't look too bad from a work perspective, but I have to hustle to get my Crossfit and lifting in for the week.

QOTD:

The band was in the news about 15 years ago because some football coaches had it. I asked my doctor about it and he was pretty negative about (for the reasons that many people on here are). I guess he was an early skeptic. About 6 years ago, my endocrinologist recommended that I get WLS. She did say that because of the length of time that I was diabetic, it may come back. And it did. I am fortunate that despite being a long time I have never had side effects.

Breakfast: Egg sandwich

Lunch: Ahi tuna salad

Dinner: Hello Fresh - not sure which one.

Have a great day, all.

She keeps saying that I am also allowed to drive, but I suspect that will change when we get there.

Sounds like Amy needed that driving course yesterday. That is crazy your sister did not clue you in on her weight loss. You're such a good brother for not prying. I would have been all over that.

My son cleaned out his closet to get rid of shirts that are too small for him (thanks to weightlifting!). I was unhappy with how many still had tags on them and had never been worn. So irritating. My kids also have the tendency to tell me they need new clothes, which I order online for them, then they delay in trying them on until I tell them try them on or I send them back. I guess they really didn't need the clothes they asked for.

Sounds like a fun weekend is planned.

If you have been diabetic for more than 5 years, there is a much greater chance it will come back after weight loss surgery puts it into regression. That is not because of something you are doing wrong but because the pancreas has worn out.
