What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu?

Well, it finally happened... Grim got COVID. Presumably I will have it any minute, but so far I have tested negative and don't have symptoms. I feel so badly for him--he never ever ever complains about feeling sick, even when I know he really doesn't feel well, but yesterday he just gave into it and admitted how badly he felt. He ran a temp all day and slept for most of it.

Even though I am currently symptomless, I had to cancel all of my cookie orders for the next few weeks and I can't leave the house, so now I am REALLY bored! I have some dough made so I can continue to practice and make samples, but I have already read two books, watched more tv than I do in a year, and even cleaned out the closets... All suggestions for things to keep me entertained are very welcome!

Jim - did you see the Wahlburgers controversy? It's all over the Boston news today!

QOTD: Do you have a nickname? My parents shorted and hyphenated my first and middle name, which is what they always called me, and that got shortened further to become JB. No one outside of my parents call me that anymore, until I made it my username here :)

Food was still pretty awful yesterday. More cheez-its and I also found some fancy Christmas chocolates. What the hell? I should probably do an egg fast like Sheila but I have to much food in the house that will go bad, so maybe sometime next week.

B: egg bites

L: veggie burger, guacamole & mini naan

D: chicken sausage

Edited to add my Photo Friday! I have been practicing some Valentine's Day cookies. This is me and Grim!

Oh no, I hope he feels better fast! If I remember, he didn't get it last summer when you did so hopefully you will be as lucky this round! Classes on domestika? yoga? Virtual walks on the treadmill? a puzzle? make one of your woven baskets? frozen meal prep to make getting good food easier once you're back in school and baking? I'd go with more books or shows myself but I can always read more and I don't think you've watched YellowJackets yet although you persuaded me to and you really should!

QOTD - well, Jen is technically a nickname. My dad calls me Red but outside of variations on Jennifer, that's it, but almost every Jennifer had to pick variation and stick with it, there were just too many of us back in the day. I saw a news thing between Christmas and new years where they were like "what was the most popular girls name in the 70s"....I knew exactly what it was, as did the other 4 Jennifer's in my class of 54.

I wanted to take a semi rest day today so this morning I did two of the 10 minute Nike Trainer series sessions on Netflix - one was a light weights cycle and one was a yoga flow; I think these will be good things to rotate into my workouts; there are 70 total with time ranges going from 10 minutes up to 30 it looks like, and beginning to advanced in all of them.

Moderately busy work day today but not insane; nothing too planned for the evening, maybe watch The Menu because I see it's on HBO and I've heard good things. Tomorrow I have a massage in the morning and a concert up in Boulder so that will be a good day. My sister sent me a dash single serve ice cream maker and I think I might try to make protein ice cream with my coffee premiere in it on Sunday.

Menu today

coffee plus half and half x2

PB morning round

italian beef

meatballs

I didn't really get out this week other than to my trainer so I only had two new pictures - Timothy Dragon is over the snow and my giant shamrocks, there are 3 different types of shamrocks in this pot but they are all happy, especially the purple ones (quarter for scale).

Have a great weekend!

I love how you change up your workout! I need to do better about that. Huge clovers, I didn't know they could get so large.
