What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu?
QOTD- Moving back to Oregon and buying my house, and of course the kittens. And all of you! I couldn't survive without your support, thank you all!
It was a frustrating day at work yesterday, my drawing got corrupted. I purged my profile multiple times, restarted multiple times and finally with help from a friend I was able to copy it into another file and it worked. So I got it out this morning and hopefully my issues are over for now.
My personal computer is pretty much back to normal, it still has extra stuff on it I can't get rid of. There will be a new computer in my future, when I can afford it.
I need to get back to work, have a great day everyone!

Good morning and happy last weekend to 2022. I had the girls yesterday, but Roger took them to lunch at the Chinese buffet. I don't do buffets, so I took the time and went got myself some new, warmer, work out clothes. My ankles have been freezing on my morning walks. Now I have fitted pants that cover my ankles. Yay.
My Dad was here for dinner last night and will be going home on Monday. I did very well for food. I made them pizza and I ate a spinach salad with some turkey and a bit of fresh cheese and I was perfectly happy. I made good choices all day yesterday, got the stairs done and today the scale blinked first. Encourages me to continue on.
Today is a walking work out, a few returns to Costco (pray for me) and a low key dinner here at home. I don't have the girls until next Tuesday and I made it to the library and have a new stack of books to work on. It's cold and damp out so I need to figure out what hour to get out and walk or if I want to pivot and do a exercise or yoga video.
QoTD: I had a BIG year. RV'ing locally at the lake, spending time at the Cabin in Montana, Retired in April, Europe in May, two trips to wine country, meet up with OH buddies and making great friendships, lot's of Broadway plays at our local Civic Center, Mexico with my son and spending lots of time with my grands and my daughter and son in law. Also, embracing an exercise routine and concentrating on strength and muscle. I have to say retirement is the thing that allowed me so much freedom to do these other things, so it has to be top of the list.
Menu:
B: crack chicken and cottage cheese
L: left over turkey and a bit of cornbread stuffing
D: TJ's pot stickers and TJ's chicken fried rice and an asian salad

And I'm just going to leave this right here, with a little pat on my own back with some pride:
Peace Everybody. I wish you all a safe, joyous, warm New Year Eve and a loving, healthy start to 2023.

LOL on the meme! Funny. I am thinking it must have been nice for you to have some time off from both cookies and school for a little while. Your kitty is very pretty.
My photos for today are one of me and my mom on Christmas Day and one of me with DH and kids on Christmas Eve.
I am planning on reading up on the days prior that I have missed due to being out of town. DD and I had a nice time visiting my MIL, my mother, and BIL/SIL. It ended up that the dentist only wanted to pull her wisdom tooth that had erupted, not the ones still under the gums. We do have the pano xray he took so we can share with a local oral surgeon. I guess I will look into seeing who is covered under our dental insurance. It is on me to do list. The trip back home yesterday was much better than the trip out of town. The roads overall were not icy, or snow covered since the weather had warmed up. It was smooth sailing until we were about 30 miles from home. Unfortunately, the interstate was completely closed down (DD read that there was an officer involved shooting) and the traffic was being diverted to surface streets. It took us about an hour to move less then 5 miles. I was so happy to be home and get out of the car. Then I spent a bunch of time putting away Christmas presents and detritus from traveling. Back to work today for one day then it's the weekend! Yay! I might even get out early today.
My accountability with eating while on Christmas break was sketchy at best. I had good intentions to eat well (I made a bunch of salads to eat per usual). I kinda fell into the thought processes of "oh well, I ate off plan so I can let the rest of the day go". This is a bad path to go down. I am back on plan officially as of yesterday. I ate what I had planned. It is my intention to continue so until DD and I go to Denver on 1/19/23 for a Colter Wall concert. Even then I will plan on scaling my indulgences back. The positive thing is I did workout every day except Christmas day (I had intended to do a long walk while delivering presents to the needy children, but DH fell and bonked his head causing a concussion). I even went to a 6am yoga class yesterday before getting on the road home!
This weekend, not a lot of real plans other than my morning workouts, meal prep. We need to get out our skis so maybe plan a first ski trip for this Sunday or even Monday. I need to talk to the family about this.
QOTD: Making my goal weight, keeping steady on the eating plan and workouts. Trip to Mexico with DD.
B: triple zero yogurt with keto granola, berries, cold brew with half n half
L: Summer berries salad with chicken, light poppy seed dressing
D: Asian chicken salad with light sesame ginger dressing
S: protein frosty, 4 squares sf chocolate
E: hot power yoga

Lana, was the road closure in the Washington State/University of Idaho area? It sounds like they made an arrest in that case. The arrest was in Pennsylvania, but they were searching his residence in Pullman.
Great pictures, also.
