You definitely took charge and drove your work conversations. It can be so hard to do so be very proud of yourself!!

Mornin' Everyone!

well I probably spent 20 hours on one of my organization's Web site and email fiasco this week. I thought I had everything perfect as of last night, but then the chair emailed me this morning and said when she registered for the event (I sent the registration info to the board last night to have them check it over and try to register to make sure all that works before I send it out to 400 people this weekend). She (the chair) got the confirmation email, but the photos of the speakers on the bottom of the confirmation email were weird - the spacing was off so they were displaying kind of weirdly (she was doing all registering and checking on her phone). She asked me to "fix" it. She had no idea of how much time I put into that damn spacing, trying to get the pictures (and the names of each speaker underneath each photo) to display correctly on the Web site, announcement email, registration page, and confirmation email on both a phone and a laptop/desktop. Actually, the only place where I can manually change the spacing is on the Web site, because on all the other things, the system picks up the appropriate info (including the photos) from the Web site automatically. So I had to modify the spacing on the Web site - and then check it on each and every piece of material (Web site, announcement email, registration page, and confirmation email) on both a phone and my laptop, and if it didn't look OK on each of those, I had to go back and change the spacing again on the Web site, and then send everything out again to myself to see if it looked OK on each thing on both a phone and my laptop. Invariably, if you make a change to make it display correctly on one thing, it mucks it up on something else. I thought I FINALLY had it looking OK everywhere last night - but I must have forgotten to look at the confirmation email on my phone, because the spacing was off. F**k. I'm hoping she'll tell me to just forget it because most of our members are older and are more likely to do this on their desktop or laptop than on their cell phones, but she's a real perfectionist and is going to want this to work perfectly everywhere, every time. So I have my weekend cut out for me. I'm not even sure I'm going to be able to get this to work everywhere on both a phone and laptop/desktop....I've literally already spent hours on it and thought I was finally there. UGH.

this morning DH and I and our mothers are touring another assisted living place, then going to lunch, and then my mom needs to run a bunch of errands, so I'll need to take her since she doesn't drive any more. So my day is pretty much full. Hopefully I can get some exercise in so I can eat an acceptable amount of calories today.

QOTD: my three highlights for the year were my trips to Italy (May), Scotland (July), and the OH conference (Sept/Oct) - not sure any one of these was better than the others, so I'll just say "traveling"!

B: plain skyr with fruit, coffee with half & half

MS: will take a protein shake with me since I'll be on the tour

L: two street tacos at the Mexican place we're going to at lunch

AS: probably nothing since I'll be running around town with my mom (otherwise, probably Greek yogurt or a protein muffin)

D: unless i can manage to get an hour's worth of cardio in (so that I can eat 1400-1500-ish calories today), it'll probably be 1/2 a package of Loma Linda Southwestern Bowl (130 kcal)

have a great day, everyone!

I hope she lets it go without you having to re-do, technology can be so frustrating.

I would just say no on that because you will struggle to make it look the same across phone platforms as well, I think.

Trish, you have done more than your fair share. You are a volunteer, have already spent 20 hours and its a holiday weekend. If its that complicated maybe they need to hire somebody to do it.

Good morning ~ Enjoy cookie baking and making today! My chiropractor appt last night was everything. He snap, crackle and popped my hips, legs, back and neck back into the right places and holy crap I can walk without pain. I'm very sore, but that is different. I'll be going back for a couple weeks for maintenance and then as needed. I'm never going that long in pain again - I can't believe what I've put my body through.

Today is a packed 1/2 day at work. I'm off at 1, a pedi and then a sibling gathering at my brothers house. Looking forward to the weekend of simply relaxing and reading on Saturday then starting a productive, healthy, fresh new year on Sunday. I love a clean slate! Monday is another family gathering.

Yesterday:

b- coffee, l&f yogurt

l - 1/2 turkey sandwich

d- fajita in a bowl

s-tomatoes

2 glasses of wine

Today:

b- coffee, l&f yogurt w/pro granola

l - 1/2 turkey sandwich

d-TBD

s - tomatoes

probably wine

Have a a wonderful day!

I felt that way when I finally went to PT for my shoulder; it's disturbing how quickly we learn to "live with" pain that we could get help for!!
