Happy Fri-YAY to those who differentiate weekdays from weekends, lol. Yesterday was nutty. My friend lives 45 minutes away but the highway shut down on my way to visit her because a tractor trailer hit a bridge... so it took me over 2 hours to get there. Then on the way home I managed to take the highway going north instead of south and it took me 3o minutes to notice before I turned around, so another 2 hours to get home! No more leaving the house for me, lol.

Ok, so today it's time to get back to cookies for real. I have barely decorated a thing for over 2 weeks--just doing one here or there from frozen extras, but today I am going to bake the octuple batch and make 10lbs of icing and get back into the game!

Pic of the week. My cute little Inigo. He clearly thinks he is a gift.

QOTD: It's the last few days of 2022! What was the best thing about the year for you? Easy-peasy for me--getting out of that terrible work situation. I started that job on 1/3/22 and it was a nightmare from the first minute. Leaving it in September was a great move. I love school and I really don't miss one thing about that job!

Good Morning Queen JB and Menuers,

I am that Meme for sure. I did take a shower yesterday and hit the semi-annual bath and body works sale, but the rest of the day was watching movies napping and grazing. Can't say I am proud, but it was nice. I will probably do much of the same today. Kelly sent me a fruit bouquet so my choices will be better on the grazing today.

My surgery was pretty uneventful like I thought. I was in the operating room for less than 1/2 hour, and they kept me in recovery for 1 1/2 hours because they only had one anesthesiologist and she didn't have time to come in and release me. I was screaming. "I want out of here I need my coffee" every 15 minutes. I am sure they were glad to see me go.

QOTD: Hands down it was meeting everyone at the conference. Because of my arm surgery I did not get to take much time to do any travel or anything else for that matter so that was my 1 true adventure this year and it was everything I hoped it would be.

Accountability: Grazed until the cows came home.

I'm glad to hear that the surgery went smoothly. I know that you were confident about it, but its still good to be done.

Good mornin everyone.

What a crappy morning. Our wall heater's pilot light went out and the pilot light on the water heater went out again too. It seems we're going to have to have someone come out and clean the burner and the whole thermocouple. I'd be able to do it if I knew how to turn off the gas and all. Frankly I don't want to explode our house...LOL. This is really stressful. If we have to replace the water heater all together we just can't afford it right now. It'd be at least 1,500 for the size we need and we just don't have that available. I'm able to relight the pilot but it keeps going out. You have to disconnect the gas line to just throughly clean the damn thing. Just so stressed out and sick with worry.

QOTD: ummm. I have to think about this one. I think I'd have to say friends...new and old.

menu is unknown as my stomach is really upset.

work in progress and a few finished pieces. The green one is a special request for a knighting ceremony for amptgard

That green is such a gorgeous color. Hope you get someone out to help with the pilots/cleaning. I would not be comfortable messing with gas things either. I don't do gas or electricity things.
