What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu?

Gooooood Friday Morning! I finally made it through my last class and...bam, I woke up in the middle of the night with a cold. Sniffles, sore throat, and a cough. Are you kidding me, body?? I hope it passes after I am up for awhile. Today is all about cleaning the house from top to bottom before hosting Christmas. Tomorrow is my mom's birthday and we are going into Boston for our annual High Tea, followed by a Christmas Eve party at a friend's house, so today is the last day to get our house in tip-top shape!
The weather here is just nutty. It's warm out now with wild downpours and hurricane force winds, but the temp is going to drop and everything is going to freeze, plus they are expecting a lot of power outages from the wind, so we are praying we get to stay warm. Luckily we are pretty far from the coast, so no fears of an angry ocean where we live, but it seems like Boston is going to get battered with everything. So glad I am not commuting anymore!
Cookie pics!
QOTD: Did you believe in Santa as a kid? I never really did. My parents were very religious and told me it was a story from the start. I argued with them, apparently, but I don't think I ever really believed.
B: egg bites
L: I am going to practice making my fancy Christmas charcuterie cups, so I will have that for lunch :)

Good mornin everyone, great looking cookies JB!
It feels like I'm swallowing glass shards when I swallow. My mom said it doesn't look bad but it's pretty deep in my throat where it hurts. I'm praying this doesn't last long. I'm hoping for a few naps today.
No plans for the day. I'll finish wrapping up what presents I have left to do. Hoping we'll be staying home all day. This cold is not easy on my body...it hurts awfully bad.
I likely won't start the weekend posts this weekend so I want to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas filled with nothing but good things. Stay safe AND warm!
QOTD: not really. I wasn't much of a kid and I'm a skeptic at heart.
B: JUST egg bowl and coffee + 2 ginger snaps with the coffee
L: chicken soup
D: veggie spring roll and 3 coconut shrimp
S: ????

Good morning QJB and menuers,
Hope your cold resolves quickly! There was talk of Airbourne and throat coat tea the past couple of days. Glad you made it through class, and your charcuterie cups sound intriguing! The tea with your mom seems like a fun tradition. Sorry we passed the crazy weather your way.
Made it to Georgia last night in front of most of the weather other than rain, which I got for most of the drive. I stopped to send some work email but it was pretty much straight through other than that. I might sleep for another hour before working for a few. My family is working from home today due to the cold but I'll tell you...the wind chill yesterday in the amount of time it took to check the well house, pack the car, and lock the gate on the way out was brutal. Couldn't feel my hands. Hope everyone kept power and heat.
Just work and probably Publix today. I want to try making a sticky toffee pudding and need some ingredients. We're apparently having beef stew for Xmas here, so pretty low key.
QOTD- Yep, but can't remember for how long. We still went with it for a while but didn't believe it.
Exercise is around the neighborhood later today.
Menu is unknown other than protein shake and bar I brought.
Pics are of the last pot of tamales last week before they went on and of my super helpful work from home helper. Stay warm, everyone. Happy Friday!

Someone in the neighborhood is selling tamales by the dozen; I was trying to resist but your picture may have pushed me into succumbing. I do love a good authentic tamale!

They really are delicious! And we like thin masa, stuffed filling ones. I asked if the masa was made with shortening or lard and was informed that real Mexicans only use lard. :)
