Yes, mice and rats in the house are gross and creepy. When DH and I were in college we lived in an apartment that was adjacent to a field. The college boys in the next apartment thought it would be a good idea to feed the mice. The next thing we knew we also were infested with field mice. Even after the mice were removed from our apartment I didnt want to eat there or prepare food. Yuck.

I told my PCP I'd been losing about 0.5 lb - 1 lb a week. She said given where I'm at, that's what she would have expected. So much slower than when I weighed over 300 lbs - but then, there were a lot more calories I could cut back in those days!

The less we weigh, the less we get to eat. I remember old women living on tea and toast and I feel like I am getting close to that point. I usually have little interest in cooking and end up with Ubereats and Door Dash. One restaurant meal will do me for three days so a $25 order works out to three $8 meals.

yea - I do have that conversation with myself a lot - which is more important, weighing c. 150 lbs again, or being able to eat somewhat close to what I want to (left to my own devices, on a normal day, I seem to want to eat somewhere in the 1600-1800 range). Unless I start doing A LOT of exercise every day (as in - a couple hours a day), those two desires are incongruent.

Hope your visit went well! I've gotten to where I take everything out of my pockets and shoes off, plus the lightest clothes I have. Amazing how much clothes and shoes can weigh. My clinic says some people pretty much strip off to weigh in.

Good Morning! JB- I think I could use some of your energy and I totally wish I was close enough to order cookies and attend a class. I just don't a virtual class can be the same especially without your cookies and frosting. John did pick up a rental scooter for me yesterday afternoon, all the difference! I was able to do more for myself (making dinner last night, coffee this morning and I even put make-up on today). My scooter has a basket so now I can put my fruit in there instead of in my pockets, yeah you can laugh about that! I received some gorgeous flowers yesterday-thanks Teenie and had a decently productive work day so I call it a success. Oh and my dr called to check in. He said they found what he had expected with the bone and that it was in/attached to a ligament as well so that was contributing to the pain. He shaved it all down and applied "bone wax" so I guess Friday I will get to see what it looks like.

QOTD: I think aside from their tails they are cute-ish. I never wanted one as a pet and had hamsters instead.

My menu for this week is up in the air but I have been having my oatmeal for breakfast and working through stew that I had John make Saturday. I am taking my vitamins and still feel like I am trying to replenish my fluids.

Thank you all for your good vibes and prayers, I appreciate you all. Have a great day.

I can see where the crutches would be difficult to use. They do require a bit of upper body strength. When DD was younger her and her best friend each had a pair of crutches to play with. They would use them to go around the neighborhood. Remember when you were younger and thought things like that were fun? Not so fun if you actually need to use them for real. Glad DH was able to get you the knee scooter.

I know people used to think it was fun to roll around in a wheelchair too, silly things kids do.
