Mornin' All!

I overdid it at party #2 on Saturday (and yes, my endocrinologist did show up! She didn't remember me (I've only seen her 2 or 3 times - and that's over three or four years), and when I told her I was one of her patients, I think she felt awkward. We talked a little, but not much..). I did well yesterday, though - and will do well again today. I see my PCP tomorrow morning for a weight and BP check. If all looks well, I'm guessing she'll authorize another month of meds. I think I can probably do this on my own, but the med does help. At minimum, it's gotten me back on track. But I'd like to continue it for another month if she's game.

I have to take one of the cats to the vet this morning for some sort of injection for his arthritis. Then I need to do some shopping for my mother, then I'm off to the pool for Aqua Zumba. My classes are done (YAY!), so I'll try to get caught up on some other stuff today - like reading and Christmas cards.

QOTD: I rarely eat cookies, but I do like Biscoffs and gingersnaps. Well, I like most cookies - but I'm more likely to eat those two types than others.

B: skyr with cranberry/cherry compote, coffee with half & half

MS: I'll take a protein shake with me on my errands

L: probably won't have time to come home for lunch, so I'll take a protein muffin with me (the latest I've made are sweet potato, bran, and cranberry - love them!!!)

AS: Ratio yogurt

D: probably salad with chicken and light dressing (getting tired of this, but I need to use some of this stuff up before it rots)

have a great day, everyone!

Good mornin everyone, hope that you're all well.

My weekend was ok. We had big talks with my brother...which was very hard as he cried...and my SIL. My SIL's mom has decided they should split up...that they are no good for each other and went in on my brothers mental health issues. It pissed us off royally. My mom is spitting mad. They both have issues you know like most people in the world can have at any given time. Both my brother and me are not the most social people and we don't drink(which I don't view as bad but our family has addiction issues, i'm not about to tempt fate). All of my SIL's family spare her has multiple DUI's and are just not nice people to us any way. We've always not been good enough in their eyes apparently. We've got some things settled with my SIL and brother. It was a hard weekend but productive.

I have an appointment on the phone today where I need to ask about switching psychiatric providers. Ugh I hate that.

QOTD: pfeffernusse cookies when I can find them lol though homemade is sooo much better

B: oatmeal

L: trying duck eggs for the first time to see if I react

the rest is unplanned

shee****'s not up to your SIL's mom re: whether or not they should split up. Who does she think she is?? I'm not saying she's right or wrong in her thinking, but she has no business deciding that some other couple should do.

I had to look up your cookies. They look delicious (and too messy for me...I also think powdered donuts are delicious and too messy, lol)

Good Morning! JB- sounds like a super busy weekend/week for you. Surgery happened several hours late Friday but I'm on my way towards recovery. I am in a splint, wrapped and can't put any weight on it until Friday when I have my follow up. I hadn't thought about needing to strengthen my upper body ahead of time-crutches aren't very fun. The weekend was a mixture of watching tv and sleeping.

QOTD: Now-Fig Newtons Pre-surgery-Lofthouse

Menu is up in the air a bit. I will probably have my oatmeal for breakfast and some stew for lunch.

I hope everyone has a great day.

Do you have to use one of those little knee scooters, or just crutches?

Right now just crutches but John might try and rent a knee scooter (we couldn't find one to borrow or buy at a decent price).
