What's on your Wednesday Menu?

Good morning!

Yesterday I got my walk in and did a yoga for weight loss class and ended up with 80 minutes of exercise for the day. My abs are feeling it as well as my shoulders and hips. I ate my meals correctly, but added one piece of (f'ning") TJ's English Toffee ad two glasses of wine at the end of the day. It's like why exercise if I'm just going to eat it back? Argh!

Today is a fun lunch with friends and a trip to Williams Sonoma so I can get a starter they make for short ribs. I use a chuck roast instead because a pot of short ribs will take a chunk from my 401K, but it's still delicious. My dad is coming in a couple weeks and I am trying to get organized to feed him for 10 days. Going to the mall in early December is way better than fighting the last minute Christmas crowd. I'm dressed now and will head out for a walk in a bit to stretch things out. I know it supposed to be my rest Wednesday, but I don't see how I am going to be able to devote any time on Sunday to work out with my schedule, so I am banking one today.

QoTD: Not even close.

Menu"

B: leftover crack chicken and a bit of cottage cheese

L: either the meatballs or a salad with protein

D: Salmon from Alaska my friend caught. My first actual salmon, so lets see if I like this one.

Peace Everybody.

Being married young certainly curtailed a lot of activities -- but being an empty nester at 43 opened up a world of possibilities.

However, I am way too much of a rule follower and intimidated by authority to actually get myself in too much trouble.

QOTD- Yes but not something I want to talk about.

I got my 2nd job out yesterday and did all the things to get it moving this morning, so now I need to focus on the one I've been dreading. I'll get through it.

I've had to start using Gel-Kam on my teeth, I'm losing the enamel on my teeth. It's yucky and I can't eat or drink for 30 minutes after I put it on. Not sure if this has to do with the surgery, but I'm not happy. I had to have 4 fillings the last time I was at the dentist, and the insurance didn't approve them because they say it is too soon. Go figure I just want my teeth to not go to pieces.

Tomorrow my Romeo goes in to be neutered, he's getting too friendly with his sisters so we need to get this taken care of now. Then I can wait to get the girls spayed. They can be so sweet and also such a pain, but I really love them and am so happy that I have them.

This may sound weird but I sent a Teams message to my coworker who died. I told him that I miss him so much, I know it didn't go anywhere but maybe he will know that I'm thinking about him.

Have a great day everyone!

I still post on my brother's FB who passed 9 years ago. It's a way to communicate with loved ones even if they are no longer here.

Doesn't seem strange to me at all. You do what makes you feel better.

Mornin' All!

Late start this morning. I've been up since 6:00, but I've been reading the paper since then (online version - local + Washington Post). Nothing on the agenda today, so I'm going to start working through my "to do" list. Finishing up my last online class is on there - maybe that'd be a good goal for today, since it's snowing out and I'm still in the "wait and see" stage to see if I get COVID (I can go out if I'm wearing my KN-95 mask since I'm still symptom-free and still testing negative - but I'll be in the clear on Friday unless something happens between now and then...). My in-person class ends tomorrow. I'm waiting for a package, though. It's supposed to be delivered sometime tomorrow, so if it's not here by 3:30 (when I usually leave for class), I may skip class and wait for it - this is the time of year for porch pirating, and it's (another) bag of Fit Frappe. As in powdered gold (at least to me!!). Although probably not to most people, who'd have no clue what it is - but still, it's something in a box, which is good enough for pirates.

QOTD: nope.

B: plain skyr with cherry/cranberry compote, coffee with half & half

MS: Fit Frappe blended with almond milk and ice (I'd forgotten how much I L-O-V-E Fit Frappe! As mentioned above, I ordered yet another bag of it.

L: chocolate "mousse" with raspberries

AS: protein muffin

D: salad with chicken and light dressing

(I'm sounding like a broken record - I'm eating a lot of "reruns" lately - need to switch this up!!)

I'll do some kind of exercise at home - maybe a walking or cardio dance video. The weather isn't conducive to being outside, and I don't want to have to wear a KN-95 at the gym.

Have a great day, everyone!
