Good morning and happy Halloween!! Such a fun day of the year!

I did get all my "must do' list completed over the weekend, plus spontaneously switched out my warm weather closet for the cold weather closet; I tried to use that as an excuse to not do session 4 of my HIIT and Core challenge but after I came home from the museum, I made myself do it. I also did 5 and.6 so in October I completed two rowing challenges and one walking challenges, not too shabby (although the walking one was easy).

QOTD - I am ready for the trick or treaters, we get a 100 or so, lots of little kids in this neighborhood and I am ready for them. I have a very large dogwood that shield my front door and a very long hallway from the living room to the front door, so I put a camp chair on my stoop and then hand out the candy from there. I go until all the littles are home and then I just leave the rest of the candy out for the big kids.

menu today is a bit odds and ends

coffee plus half and half X2

left over keilbasa

left over bunless burger

maybe a yogurt

I do have a Reeses for me for after the tricker or treaters!

Have a happy halloween everyone!

And yes, I've been planning this picture since March

Good mornin everyone! Happy Halloween!

I felt really miserable yesterday and figured out the DayQuil stuff I was taking was making everything worse. So now it's just Sudafed which is helping more. One side of my nose is always stuffed up until I lay on the other side then they switch. It's just soooo much fun! lol

I'll have to cancel my appointment I had today. I could wear a mask but I don't want to expose anyone. It's just safer this way.

I should probably go to the doctor but I know they'll just say to continue on with the decongestant. I feel better today than the past weekend and I don't have a constant cough. The at home tests were both negative for Covid.

QOTD: lots of nothing. We won't hand out candy...we had zero trick or treaters last year anyway. I do want to make some chicken soup today so I'm looking forward to that.

food again today is totally unplanned.

Good morning, everybody!

For the first time that I know of, I was on the video screen at the football game Saturday night. Annnndd, I completely blew it.

Since it is Halloween today, DD wore her costume to the game, which is a very cute taco outfit (I will post a picture on Thursday). Well they always show the crowd on the scoreboard during lulls in action and they panned to us because she looked so festive dressed up.

Naturally, I waved because I was on screen. But instead of waving at the camera, I waved at the screen. So basically cute DD, in costume. And dumb Dad with an arm draped across his face because he didn't realize that he was waving in the wrong direction. Sigh.

Aside from that, we had a great weekend: dinner Friday, Buddy Holly museum, one winery, the game and home on Sunday.

Also, and this will probably excite Melody a whole lot less than me, I saw cotton for the first time. Just little puffs of it, sitting on plants, waiting for an opportunity to become T-shirts.

QOTD: For years and years, we had been getting fewer kids each year. But last year we had a huge resurgence. We will be handing out candy and wondering why we don't know anybody anymore.

Breakfast: bagel

Lunch: Roast beef

Dinner: hamburger

Have a great day, all!

LOL at the cotton! We are just north of the line where cotton is hearty but some still try. My grandpa always talked about picking cotton as a kid. He was basically a train hobo and would travel to places to pick seasonal crops. He hated cotton though. Every time he saw it he let us know how much lol

Good morning QJB and Menuers,

Sounds like you had a nice weekend. Good job on the exercise. Thats a huge win. Weekend was good. Dinner out at Texas Roadhouse Friday. Why I like it there is beyond me. I do like they bring you peanuts so I can avoid the honey buns. Yes, I never have them just eat peanuts. I did funeral Saturday morning then Mom duty. DH and I hit a crap estate sale. It was out in the country, so it was nice to see all the fall colors. Sunday was church and breakfast out. I had to do a meal train for a family at church yesterday and I really over did it. I made homemade ham and bean soup, baked chicken with cheese, stuffing, and gravy, mashed potatoes, roasted sweet potatoes, and corn. I also sent some mini pumpkin cheesecakes.

Saturday, I saw that the Expresso dark chocolate M&M's are now available at Walmart. I was so excited and ran up to get a case. Unfortunately, I jumped the gun. They only got the shelve tag up and are waiting for them to come in. I hope to have my hands on those sinful little beasts by the end of the week.

The weather turned to crap this morning. I guess it plans on raining all day. Hope it lets up for Trick or Treat.

QOTD: I plan to pass out candy and make Pizzelles. Our church is hosting a first responders appreciation dinner on Sunday and invited all the services, EMT, Police, and Firemen in the area and their families to join. I need to get the pizzelles done and Sunday I will be there helping serve and what not.

Accountability: Maybe more carbs than I should but all in all it was a successful weekend.
