AH, forgot my QOTD! See what happens when I exercise before posting?
QOTD: What was a new exercise you tried after WLS that you would never have done pre-op? Hot Yoga and Running were two that I would have never even considered!
biking. Well, I did that A LOT as a kid and then again in my 20s, but after my weight skyrocketed in my 30s, well no, just no. For one thing, I doubt my bike could have carried all that weight.
(funny - on my clinic's FB page, someone asked for recommendations of bike brands or models that can support people who weigh over 300 lbs. When I bought my "new" (via Craigslist) bike three years ago, that thought never even crossed my mind! I just liked the bike and bought it!)
QOTD: I guess it's more doing the same things better like getting off of Ring Rows and onto the bar.

QOTD - Running for sure! I really enjoyed it when I weighed between 150-185 but not at my current weight. I miss it actually.

Good morning! I am moving a bit easier today and did get some sleep last night. The steel bars that were lashing my guts together have relaxed into more like pliable silver. They are still there, but it's not agonizing. I did the yoga moves Jim suggested several times yesterday and started my day out with it today and several others before I even rolled out of bed this morning. I am up and dressed for the dreaded stairs. I really did take a rest day yesterday and barely logged 2500 steps on my tracker.
I did well on food and had about 2.5 glasses of wine at our celebratory dinner. It was wonderful to see good friends and I had a lovely pistachio coated sea bass for dinner that is also breakfast for today after the stairs. We are adding part 3 to the stairs today, so if we make them all, we will accomplish 449 stairs heading up, and the return plus my walk before hitting the shower. Then we are picking up korean bbq pork and taking it to my friend who was so ill last year and really still very challenged. It will be wonderful to see her. She won't eat outside her home because her tremors are so bad. She adds to my thought process on work/life balance yesterday. I hope to finish my book and take a nap this afternoon.
QoTD: All the things. Monday's workout with a trainer is probably the biggest so far. But the stairs...we have lived here for 18 years and last week was the first time I attempted them.
Menu is mostly as above
B: leftover sea bass
L: korean bbq pork and a bit of lo mein
D: maybe pork chops and roasted acorn squash
Peace Everybody!

Glad you are feeling better. Getting moving again today is the right call, it will help.
