What's on your Wednesday Menu?
Good morning! Ok, I said I survived the work out class on Monday. Not sure if it was defined as HIIT or Functional Strength training or what, but it was brutal. Then yesterday I walked for nearly 2 hours and did a chair yoga class that definitely did not keep me in a chair. By last night, every single muscle in my abdomen, arms and upper thighs were on fire. Interrupted my sleep all night long. I know, I know, it's supposed to be a good pain. But my belly muscles are particularly not amused. I'm planning a rest day today, or maybe just an easy walk in the sunshine this afternoon to help loosen things up.
Yesterday I stayed within my calorie range, even while caving to two Hershey mini's. Dinner was great last night and extremely filling. The Trader Joe's cauliflower gnocchi definitely has an odd texture, but it was very filling and dense. Today I get a pedi in an hour, and then have dinner out with good friends. It's at a favored Italian place, so it's a bit dangerous for me. In between, I plan on picking up the front yard, cleaning the front porch area and dusting the house.
QoTD: I have my own snack basket with good choices. I try to use that. I try to let myself do the "just one bite" thing. I never order dessert though I almost always eat of bite of Roger's or someone's dessert if they order it. I find a zero calorie drink, or I get up and find something to do with my hands. I'm not always very successful at this and remain grateful that my restriction is still pretty extreme as it keeps me out of trouble. I don't think stealing 5 of Roger's fries is off plan. I also walk to as many places as possible so I have to walk some of it off on the way home.
And Jim is right - I was pretty horrified at his chips and salsa! I was like where is your protein? Nothing like an ex heavy person to be judgy about other people choices. Like an ex smoker over here!!
Menu
B: the last of the goat cheese/tomato frittata
L: more of the salisbury steak, bite of mashed potato and the last lone roasted Brussel sprout
D: no idea yet. But there will be wine.
Peace Everybody!

You seemed so happy yesterday that I didn't want to mention Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness. Some gentle Seal Pose may help with your stomach.

Good evening menuers!
Been outrunning the rain myself today.
QOTD- I'm still new enough that I can remind myself that I don't know how my stomach will tolerate all the "bad" stuff. And that I have super limited space.
Got feedback from the clinic 2.5 weeks after bloodwork. My protein and Thiamine have improved. Yay! My A, K, and potassium are out of range. The K is pretty much just as bad as it was. Their directions are still to be compliant (they don't seem to believe that I have been) and eat more dietary K. Okie. Will do.
Today was randomly Niagara Falls and stuff in Pennsylvania. For anyone who might have wanted to know, parking is free at the falls if you get there before 7:30. Found an old wrecked train trestle I'm Pennsylvania that used to be the tallest in the world before a tornado took it out. Now tourists can walk out to the end of the ruined trestle and see the devastation left over since it's a park. I'm still more scared of heights than I'd like but still went out. The rain started just as I got back in. I'm now somewhere in Ohio and heading southish.
I've been getting in several walks/short hikes a day, so I'm happy for that movemen****kins Glen and two other parks yesterday and the train park today.
Menu
Grab and go bag, grilled chicken, piece of bacon...a pierogi because I passed through Polish food country.
Cheers, everyone!

If you ever get out that way...Kinzua Bridge State Park! You can see through the tracks down to the ground in the middle of the walkway and they put glass panes out at the end. I did not walk on those but little boy flopped over and failed around like a fish out of water. Good times!
