Good Morning QJB and Menuers.

WTG QJB, I am so glad to her of your success. My Brother has a side hustle where he makes sausage, Kielbasa, all the Italian dried meats and he also puts together charcutier platters for events. He has been doing it for 30 years even before people other than Italians knew what a Charcutier was. He always wished it would be his primary, but health insurance is the reason most of us continue to work.

This is a sore subject for me this morning. Over the weekend a dear friend passed away of lung cancer. (Never smoked) He was 63 and a very nice, good catholic man. I do not know anyone that could have a bad word to say about him. He and his wife who were together since they were 15 were always hard workers, raised a great family. He never got to retire. He never had more than a week or two vacation at a time. He never got to enjoy the retirement he deserved. He worked as the CFO for the Pittsburgh Ballet for 40 years and they just recently offered him a lucrative contract to stay on for 4 more years. He said when I beat this cancer I am going to retire and enjoy my family. Can someone tell me the difference of this scenario and slavery? Are all countries like this making us work till we die? Sorry just venting. I'm angry.

QOTD: Funny I just was talking to a colleague about this. I said 2 years ago I never would have stuck half the stuff I eat in my face. I always made healthier versions of everything. (I did make Miracle Muffins last night) I definitely need to get back to that. I also used to drink coffee or some 0-sugar beverage when I was hungry to see if that would ward off the hunger before I grabbed a snack. Also avoided alcohol completely. See I do know the rules. I just choose not to follow lately.

Accountability: I grazed dinner. Started with cheese curds ended with miracle muffins. I also had the Pork King Good Salted butter pork rinds. If you like pork rinds, you need to order these from Walmart. I think it is $20 for 5 bags. They are so Pork king good

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss, Chrissy. It's exactly these types of losses that drove Rog and I to figure out retirement. So much easier said than done, I know. Hugs from afar and wishing you find some peace in this tragic situation. XOXO

I am sorry about your friend. I definitely don't see people in every country working just for insurance like so many do here.

Yes, Even Ron had a couple. I only had plain Kodiak cake, so I added a tablespoon of SF peanut butter and Lillys chocolate chips. definitely took care of the sweet cravings.

Thank you for the recipe.

QOTD- I got nothing here, I try not to indulge or over indulge but it doesn't always work.

The rains are finally here, its been cold and windy. Thunder last night and we've had 2 tornadoes in the last week. Unheard of for the PNW, of course they aren't big ones. I need to get the duct work extended upstairs, using my portable heater isn't going to cut it when it really gets cold. I was going to go walking yesterday but the wind and cold deterred me.

I had my annual exam and blood work done on Monday, not sure if the results are OK or not, waiting for my Dr to send me some notes on it. I did come away with the 3 prescriptions that I needed and an increase in the dose of Lunesta so maybe I'll sleep through the night. I also made an appointment with the Dermatologist, she is really booked so it isn't until May.

I've had work this week so that makes me happy, I should get in 40 hours this week. So I'd better go.

Have a great day everyone!
