What's on your Sunday menu?

Good Sunday mornin everyone. Hoping you're all doing well.

Not a lot planned for the day. A quick run to the grocery store is all we need to do. This week is somewhat busy. We have a meeting Tuesday about the work they're going to do on the highway our property is against. They have changed the plans since the last meeting a few years ago. All we know for certain is they'll be moving the sewer line and we'll likely lose some property. I wish they'd take the entire property. I hate this house and the location.

I have two other appointments this week.

QOTD: Do you consider yourself eating or drinking soup?

eating about 90% of the time here. If it's a creamy soup then I lean toward drinking.

B: oatmeal $ coffee

L: pinto beans with ham

D: chicken and sweet potato soup

S: popcorn, cheese and ???

a quick pair of earrings I made yesterday.

If you hate the house and location, then think about selling it and finding a place you love. My aunt and uncle stayed in a house waiting for the city to expand the highway close to them. After about 30 years of waiting when the expansion happened the house next to them was the last one that the city bought. They sold that house using a real estate agency and moved to a place that they loved.

Mornin' Weekenders!

I'm going to a book festival for a couple of hours today, but that's it. I have a ton of stuff to do, though - as usual. I feel like I keep falling further behind. I need to really watch my eating today. I met a friend for lunch yesterday and did OK while there, but I bought a piece of dulce de leche cake (with walnuts) to take home to share with DH. Problem is...I didn't share. I had half of it when I got home, and the other half last night. I'm not a dumper, but I did feel dizzy after that sugar bomb. Plus I'm sure the thing had over 500 kcal in it. UGH. Welp, too late now - so it's back to it today!

QOTD: not sure if you mean which word you use when discussing soup consumption (eat vs drink) or how you actually go about eating it. I know eat vs drink soup depends on the language and/or region - and I know most people say they "eat" it in the US. But the way I consume it is I eat the liquid part first, then the solids (well, unless it's all pureed together, of course...then I just eat it!)

B: protein oatmeal with plain skyr and diced, cooked apples, coffee with half & half

MS: if my book-festival-going companion wants to go for coffee before we head to the festival, then that. Otherwise, I'm going to eat a late-ish breakfast so that in that case, nuttin'

L: I think I'll have to take a protein bar with me since I don't know if there will be anything available at the festival. And if there is, it'll probably be something i don't need

AS: Greek yogurt and a skinny bagel with light cream cheese

D: salad with chicken breast and light dressing

have a great day, everyone!

Good morning Mel and weekend menuers,

Sounds like an imminent domain play with the highway piece. Not fun but I'd also hate to be trying to find a house right now.

QOTD- Mostly eating since I like chunky soups.

Did manage three loads of laundry and some cleaning yesterday. Fresh sheets are always divine! We got some good storms through last night. I was celebrating every clap of thunder. Even better, it came in waves so the water could soak in a bit between deluges. It wasn't enough to fill the rivers or creeks but I'm so, so grateful for the rain. Even though it meant rescuing old boy out from under the bed after he got stuck hiding from lightning.

I got all my town stuff done this morning. Bought some water and trip supplies. My APRN suggested I drink more electrolyte water due to the worsening dizziness any time I stand up. Will roll up my sleeves and get to cooking here shortly. I already feel a nap coming on so it's good to use motivation when I have it. Will also be spraying the house again today since the wasps are trying to find places to winter over.

Accountability- I ate 14g of raw, unsalted cashews. Yes, I weighed them. Nuts of any kind aren't on my menu plan because of fat. They were amazing and I took something like ten minutes to eat my 8 pieces. Still well within any measure of whatever I would need to be counting.

Exercise - will elliptical later today. Did not yesterday but I wasn't scheduled to.

Menu

Fiber/collagen

Eggs scrambled with pesto and chicken andouille.

Maybe keto meatloaf if I get it done.

Hopefully clam chowder for dinner. If not, leftover chicken with Rotel and cheeses.

Might try the salad greens and see how they go down. I got spring mix.

Happy Sunday, everyone.

Hi Sunday Menuers

last night DS and I decided to skip the MMA fights since we both were feeling lazy and wanting to hang at home. Watched some Netflix and chilled. Today I started with an early morning 90 minute hot hatha yoga practice. SS and I are going to grab some lunch and probably throw some axes for an hour. Other then that I will make my 10 salads for the week.

QOTD: eat soup then drink the broth. If creamy soup then eat.

B: triple zero Greek yogurt with blueberries and keto granola, cold brew coffee with half n half

L: TBD

S: protein frosty

D: turkey Asian salad with light sesame ginger dressing

S: protein frosty, 4 squares sf chocolate

E: done

"Watched some Netflix and chilled." I don't think this is what you meant. You really need to ask the kids what this means or Google.

Well....I learned something new today! Yes, I did not want to have a romantic encounter with my son! Rather, we watched Netflix and relaxed, were lazy, uninspired to be active. LOL!
