What's on your (PHOTO) Friday?

Morning all! Happy Friday to YOUUUUU!
I am going to have one of those "race against time" days. My mom is coming first thing to get some "tech support " help with something. She just needs to do a mail merge from Excel onto labels but it's beyond her skill set. I'm not thrilled to have to give up a few hours on this, but at least I don't have to try talking her through it over FaceTime! I also need to get going quickly on 3 big Finals Week papers and then cookies cookies cookies.
Speaking of cookies:
QOTD: What's a small but mighty frustration you have right now? Mine is so so so dumb, but Facebook (or Meta) actually gives some really helpful tools to business owners to give analytics that help monetize your business. BUT, you only get access to everything when you have 100 followers and I have been stuck at 98 followers for a week! I already have the feature for Instagram and it's awesome. So frustrating to be so close!

Good morning QJB and menuers,
Made it to Friday!
Your cookies, as always, are beautiful. Good luck with tech support.
QOTD - Locking my gate when I leave. Dunno why it bother me but whenever I come and go it's in and out of the car twice to open/close and lock/unlock.
Half day in the office today. Meeting with the EVP at 8. I sold a pitch yesterday, so to speak, and one project is moving forward. It was a successful day. I also had a pretty candid conversation with my boss about what's working and what isn't. His leadership style is a struggle for me, so we're working through it. I'll head home after lunch and be grateful for it.
I discarded my first pieces of clothing the other day. Sports bras that can't function anymore. I'm down to a single pair of pants that fit well. Amusingly enough, I'd bought them back in February (3X) to wear hiking in Hawaii. They were way too small because women's sizes just can't be consistent. So now the 3X small pants fit. Turns out I'd downsized more than I thought in moving, so will be doing some wardrobe solutioning on that with all your feedback.
Speaking of feedback - anyone recommend flavors or protein bars or snacks that aren't too sweet or horrible? I've been experimenting and so far the winners are Quest blueberry muffin, Thai chili chips, and loaded taco. Everything else has been...yuck. I'm looking for shelf stable things to stock up on for the road trip.

Thank you. :) I'm a sucker for corgis. Kind of wish I wasn't because I'm a big believer in adopting. My older boy (dark brindle), who will be 11 in January, is a rescue. I've had him almost five years. I was trying to work through a breeder on rehoming another adult dog that fell through when he called me about this lone, split-faced puppy...
The rest is history.

my four cats are all pedigreed - but two I got as adults when their breeder couldn't use them anymore (she sells them when they're done showing - or breeding (she only breeds them until they're around 3 or 4 years old)). The third has a neurological disorder, so the breeder I got him from couldn't show or breed him, and she was afraid no one would want to buy him - so she was just going to keep him, until I expressed an interest. She just gave him to me - although I covered his neutering). The fourth I got as a kitten from the first breeder. I told myself I'd never buy a purebred kitten (only older or "imperfect" ones like my earlier ones, since they need homes, so..), but the breeder was having a lot of financial issues (her husband was laid off), so she was trying to sell off some of her show and breeding cats (this kitten was originally meant to be a breeding queen), so I bought her.
long way of saying, I get what you said about adopting/rescuing - I agree. All the animals I've had before now were adoptees from rescue places (or I found them) - but i kind of got around my hesitation to buy a purebred by doing what i described above.

I absolutely get this and we have so many similarities! In fact, my old boy was a show dog as a very young one and used for breeding a bit. He's so, so timid and scared of everything. He lived in a kennel for four years and had bad arthritis and allergies when he came home. He's come so far, and the pup brings out his personality. He deserves a home, too. Would definitely take retiring doggos.
Young boy was meant to be a show dog but due to his face, didn't meet standards. Means I got an amazing, uniquely brindled and super opinionated pup.
I do keep in touch with the breeder. He keeps a half dozen or so dogs. I would have a houseful of dogs if I could give them all the attention they need!
Sounds like your kitties are very lucky. :)
