Love the cookie pictures as usual. I just cant imagine how long it takes you to make them with the decorating. Just love the skeleton, so cute especially with its boxed coffin.

I agree with the meme. Unless I have already made plans I am not one to just go out in the evening after work spontaneously. When DH and I lived in Los Angeles area, we frequently turned down last minute tickets to events like the Lakers, popular concerts, and other events since we are more after work homebodies. Now, I want to make sure I get my workout in as planned.

Weekend plans include kids concert on Saturday. DD is going to the horse farm again today. Due to the concert, DH will pick her up so she can play her 30 minute music set with the band, then I will drive her back to the farm. DH wants to work on DD's truck as it needs a new starter and shocks (here is a simple project that will most likely take 3x the time to complete). Other then the concert, I will do my morning workouts, maybe pull some produce from the garden. I need to rotate my compost bin outside. So a little this and that.

QOTD: I guess it depends on the situation on whether I ask permission or forgiveness.

Accountability: Excellent

B: triple zero greek yogurt with keto granola, blackberries, cold brew with half n half

L: Summer salad with chicken, light poppy seed dressing

S: protein frosty

D: Chicken curry salad

S: protein frosty

E: Hot yoga 60 minutes

My pictures are of the kids playing at the county fair and of DS maxing his squat.

Have a wonderful Friday and weekend.

Good morning! I was going to start my comments off with a mention of the 5 mile round trip, lots and lots of hills, walk that I took yesterday. It was warmer than I thought, 82 out and I was worn out and sweating like crazy. I very rarely actually sweat so while I know it was good for me in a million ways, I was not amused. And then I read about Sheila's hike tomorrow and I'm thinking mine was just a little stroll. LOL. I was so tired when I got home though, even after I made it through the shower I just could not fall into a nap. I was 100 % on my food choices yesterday and the scale is somewhat cooperating with my plan.

Today, my daughter and I are going to bike ride around the bay. She took a PTO day from work, the girls are in school and the husbands are golfing. So a great bike ride and fun lunch with my favorite Princess. This makes 5 days in a row of intentional, planned exercise. Could be a new record for me. I've already taken care of my outdoor responsibilities, have laundry started and house work done. I just need to take brown dog for his PT walk. We made it up to two blocks yesterday. Serious progress.

Menu:

B: leftover rock fish and cottage cheese

L: I am guessing it will be bacon wrapped shrimp with a side of beans

D: chicken thighs, left over artichokes, and some carb for Roger

no pics this week.

Peace Everybody. Have a great weekend!

Don't knock those 5 miles neighborhood hills. When I can't do my forest jogs, I do the neighborhood hills and I am exhausted afterwards. Great job for 5 days of exercise.

Sweaty or not, 5 miles is awesome. It's great to see you getting stronger!
