Mornin' All!
just curious - when are the conference-goers arriving in Santa Ana? My plane gets in at 11:56 am (so basically, noonish). Not sure if the free shuttle to the hotel makes regular rounds, or if we have to call them. If a couple - or more - of us are getting in around the same time, I'm happy waiting for awhile (well, for a half hour or so - maybe a bit longer) if there'll be a small group of us shuttling... (but if the shuttle makes regular rounds, there'd be no need, of course...)
the only thing I have on the agenda today is my history class (the one I go to in person), although I have a lot of reading to do - for classes and my book group. It'll be wonderfully cool out (high 50s/low 60s) and sunny, so perfect bike-riding weather, so I may go out for a spin as well (in addition to biking to class). Otherwise....???
QOTD: I worked 3rd shift on the weekends at a convenience store when I was in college. The place was across the street from a hospital so we had hospital workers - and visitors - in and out all night, so I never felt unsafe - but no way I'd do that now. In my 40s, when I worked in IT, I often had to go in overnight when I had to do something with the routers or switches, since that would entail taking our internet connection down, but that wasn't a regular thing.
B: protein oatmeal topped with plain skyr and fruit, coffee with half & half
MS: probably nothing given the breakfast (I think I'll mix some flaxseed in with the oatmeal, too..)
L: grilled cheese (with an apple slice and 35-calorie bread) and a small salad
AS: yogurt
D: DH won't be home until late, so I may just have a Jimmy Dean's light breakfast sandwich (the kind with egg whites and turkey sausage)
have a great day, everyone!
I depart at 8:30, will have to check arrival

Good Friday Eve folks. Today is my last iron infusion. I feel so much better since getting them and I ordered more Profferrin iron pills to hopefully keep my ferritin up.
I gave in yesterday and had a slice of pizza at work. It was a weekly special called Nashville. Had BBQ chicken, ranch dressing and pickles. It wasn't to bad. I felt guilty after eating it so I didn't eat the eggplant I made for dinner.
Today at work is my bosses surprise 60th birthday party. We have all sorts of Italian food coming for lunch. Thankfully not a fan of pasta so I will have some of the salad that was ordered. I'll take pictures of the jumbo specialty cupcakes we ordered. He's going to be so surprised.
QOTD: My first real job I had to pull double shifts for 6 months because we got a big order in and it really sucked. I worked 7am to 2am went home slept for 4 hours and then back to work. I could never work an overnight shift after that. I need to sleep at night.
5am coffee with raw milk
No breakfast because of the work lunch
D: I think it will be grass-fed beef burgers with onions and cheese
The second Culture of Fit class is tonight and I believe it is a cardio exercise one that I will join.
Have a nice day everyone.
In my first nursing job I covered a couple of double shifts (16 hours) during the holidays (3p-7a). Brutal, the longest nights of my life I swear.

Good morning ~ That meme - you can't help but smile at that! Yesterday I slept in so late. I think it was no dogs or alarm cat or snoring hubby, plus the room is so dark I had no concept of time. It was nice. So far for food here, it's been massive quantities but I am doing okay. The veggies and protein selection have been great. I am always shocked by the amount of food people eat at a buffet.
QOTD - Many late nights and early mornings but no overnights
Accountability - okay, but no angel.
b- coffee - buffet- eggs, bacon and fruit
l - buffet TBD - will stick to veggies and protein
D- Out -probably a big chain like BJ's or California Pizza Kitchen (I can't wait to be home) - my coworker mentioned checking out French Laundry and I laughed and laughed...
Have a great day!
