It sound like a wonderful birthday for Marilyn with her attentive, loving husband. However, very naughty kids. Did you send them a text to remind them to call? I am looking forward to seeing what these Alerbrijes look like.

Happy Anniversary! Is another celebration in order today since your trip was cancelled? What did you end up buying Marilyn for a gift. I know you had asked for suggestions. I had none.

I think we are postponing presents until we get back to Bermuda. I did not text the kids. My older son talked to her about something else, so I think he got partial credit.

Good morning,

Sounds like a busy day for you! I just got to the office and am about to tackle the email backlog and updated strategy slide that was due. Good times.

I did not exercise yet this morning. I've still been having unexplained fatigue off and on. It even resulted in an impromptu nap yesterday when I sat down. Oops. I'll get it in this afternoon. I haven't missed a scheduled day yet. I also haven't added those extra days I was hoping to.

QOTD - A few roles back I was the divisional manager over several 24 hour facilities. When I visited in person, which was once a quarter, I always went in for at least a few hours overnight in addition to the regular daytime hours. I had people working across all shifts and the night-time folks rarely got face time with leaders. I'm very much a morning person, though. It took a lot of caffeine to be able to operate through the night.

Today's menu

Protein/fiber/collagen

Egg bites with a side of veggie sausages since I forgot to add them

Yogurt

Rolled pepperoni and provolone, broccoli

Cottage cheese, seaweed

String cheese

Cheers, everyone!

Typically, what the Managers of the inpatient nursing units will do is split shifts on occasion. So sometimes they may work from 3p-11p, or come in extra early 4a-whenever so that the night shift can get some leadership facetime.

Funny but our midnight shift never made coffee. We functioned on regular Coke. While I was working that job, the came out with New Coke. Then we all switched to Pepsi until they bought Coke back.

Yep, New Coke was a huge failure. Once I switched to Diet Coke I couldnt drink regular coke since it seemed so much sweeter and stronger. I use to be able to switch between diet coke and diet pepsi then all of a sudden diet pepsi started giving me heartburn and acid reflux. I havent drank diet soda or any carbonated beverages since surgery due to the caution they gave us pre-op. Every now and then I think it would taste good but just add crystal lite (or similar) to water and I am satisfied. A cold brew in the morning for my caffeine.
