What's on your Thursday menu?

Good morning everyone! I know our fearless leader mentioned she might not be able to start us because she's being a good and kind cousin this morning!
Busy day ahead but at the end of it, I will sleep in my own bed! Yay! I have to be at one of our facilities at 4 am and then a bunch of meetings during "normal" hours and finally home. This brings me to qotd
QoTD - have you ever worked overnight shifts? I cleaned office at night when I was in school and I've done early shift IT work but never a traditional overnight shift.
Todays menu I know will involve two protein bars since that's what I have in my backpack and then I will grab dinner at the airport, I'm hoping for a cheese plate or lettuce wraps.
have a great day everyone!!

Good mornin everyone!
Yesterday's PT went ok. I am really sore in my left leg and my upper arms. Not really the good kind of sore either. My lower calf muscles screamed at me alllll night so I didn't sleep much. I have homework to do stretches twice a day.
I have an appointment this morning to check up on my eye with the doctor. I'm hoping to not have to see him again for a very very long time. I have an appointment with my PCP tomorrow.
My nephew's birthday is tomorrow. His party has to be next weekend and I volunteered to make his cake. He wants a cat cake. Only because he's obsessed with these plushies called cat vs. pickle. I don't get it but at least I don't have to make a pickle shaped cake LOL
QOTD: only when I was my grandparents caretaker did I come close.
My accountability yesterday bombed. Candy was bought and consumed. Ugh!
B: oatmeal and coffee
L: taco and ???
D: ???
S: gf waffle, PP shake and maybe a mini bag of popcorn

PT is hard but worth it. You have to stick with it and be honest with the therapist on how it's feeling which can be hard - both from a not wanting to work through the discomfort and also not wanting to be seen as not trying. It's hard! Good luck!

Make sure to post a picture of the cat cake. I need to look up the cat vs. pickle plushies. I know people like to tease their cats with cucumbers since it freaks them out.
Make sure you are getting enough water. I get bad calf muscle cramps if I dont drink enough clear liquids.

Good morning, everybody!
I think that Marilyn had a nice birthday. We went to this Latin Fusion Restaurant for lunch. She had been wanting to try it. I got tacos made with skirt steak, quest and potato sticks - they were so good. And a strawberry margarita with fresh muddled strawberries.
Remember the potato sticks that used to come in a can? We couldn't remember what the name of them was? We thought that maybe French's made them. Anyways the taco ingredient tasted just the same, only the sticks were much more petite.
After that we walked around and saw the Alerbrijes, which were really cool. I took a million pictures and will post some tomorrow. Everything was lush and green. Also, they had a hummingbird garden with like 50 hummingbirds - Marilyn got pictures of those, but I was too slow.
We probably spent 4 hours at the exhibit. For dinner we got lobster rolls and split a moon pie. Both were delicious, but I could only eat half of my lobster roll. I did rally for the Moon Pie.
Most of our group was able to make happy hour and then her Chicago shows had their season premieres last night. Mike D. let me know if you watched last nght's Chicago Fire and I will post a picture of where it was filmed.
Certain children forgot to call and wish their Mom a Happy Birthday. Today is our 32nd anniversary.
I am in the office today. I did Ok on the latest badge swipe rankings. Just trying to stay out of the bottom quartile.
QOTD: Nope. I guess that the closest was when I caddied, we had to be at the club at 6:00 AM.
Breakfast: Fritatta
Lunch: Salad
Dinner: TBD
Have a great day, all!
