What's on your Tuesday Menu?
Oh Mel sorry your mom has jury duty.
Do you not have public transportation in your area. Can you Uber? With our Medicare and Medicaid in Pennsylvania they have a shuttle service if you need it for medical appointments. Have you ever looked into that?
We also hand feed our squirrels and feed them pumpkins. They actually buried the seeds and this year we had 4 volunteer pumpkins they nibbled on as they were growing. Between the deer and they squirrels they are already gone.
Hope you find transportation to your appointments.

I need a picture of the squirrel pumpkin carving project.
As far a s the weight loss with Ozempic, sounds like it has only been a week. I think it can curb your appetite and that is were the weight loss comes in.

Thanks everyone! My mom was picked for a trial but they plead at the last second so she was released.
my appetite is better and my eating is better. I've also been getting a small walk in almost every day. Yesterday my left hip area was to sore. Back at it today.

Good morning JB and menuers,
If you figure out why your body wakes up early, mine would love to know! :) Hope the coffee helps.
Your comment about extra eyes on papers reminds me of the required math classes I had to slog through in school. I would have a good friend of mine on standby to check my answers during important times. Was always one of those who could often give you the correct answer but couldn't show the work for how I got there. Math is...hard.
QOTD- Not skydiving or such. I did a lot of whitewater kayaking and rafting. I would raft a class V with a guide or kayak a class III without. I guess there was a modicum of safety in my mind, though I've been through several incidents on the water. There are two kayaks gathering dust in my shed now since the older I get, the less indestructible I feel. Nothing like being 22 and thinking nothing could touch you. I also did some ziplining to help get over my fear of heights. Maybe not inherently dangerous but it felt that way when you add the phobia. Same thing with caving. Yes, I was quite the adrenaline junkie for a while.
I got in my exercise yesterday and will again today. Right back at it after my little vacation.
No accountability to report.
Today's menu
Breakfast- Protein, fiber, collagen
Snack - Yogurt and seaweed
Lunch - Tuna mixed with yogurt, steamed spinach with added olive oil
Dinner - Tilapia with parmesan and reduced sodium Old Bay, steamed spinach with olive oil
I still end up having to eat second lunch and second dinner a lot to get everything in. Today's menu is all of 726 calories though, so should be fine!
Wishing you all an amazing day!

I thought I was up for anything until I read your penultimate sentence. Caving!!! I'm good with height and anything in open air, but put me underground or in a tight place and I start panicking. In short I'm willing to jump out of a plane 10 times instead of going into a cave even once.

I actually have My scuba license. I was about 250lbs. when I wanted to learn and I took a class by myself and was certified. Unfortunately I met DH who is not a strong swimmer so it has been few and fa between that I have been able to go. I still want to do a cave dive someday but not sure where or when.

Whew, that can be a tough one! I have trouble with normalizing pressure so I've always been worried about jumping out of planes or diving. Anything below snorkel depth causes pain.
You're not wrong about the caving. The first trip I took where we spent the night in a cave, I was with a social club. There were about 10 or so people. One section of the adventure was a pancake crawl. There wasn't enough room to do more than lie flat on your stomach and inch along with your toes, knees, and elbows. During that section, one lady panicked. There was not room to go around or do anything but wait it out. So we stayed there for a half hour until she calmed down enough to continue.
My next caving adventure I got lodged in a passage aptly named the birth canal. My hips were too wide after I jackknifed through the opening. Backward wasn't an option so my partner at the time pulled until I got through. It...left a mark. :)

Your stories def confirm that I would never pick up caving as a sport. I would be that lady stuck in a tight corner and just bawling. I don't even like having my head under the covers when in bed, I feel like I can't breathe.

That is super brave. I don't know if I would appreciate getting stuck. I hope it wasn't guided and someone set you up. If it was, they had to know it wasn't for every size human. Yikes.
