Hey Hey, my loves! We made it past hump day! I am feeling 2000% better today. I think it will take a while to settle into this new routine (or lack thereof), so I am sure there will be hiccups along the way, but I'm still happy with the choice I made. Especially after the flurry of text messages I got from old coworkers yesterday, complaining about each other. It's even more toxic from the outside looking in!

My classes are organized into 2 intensive mini semesters that are each 7 weeks long. Its a lot of learning to cram into a short period, but its moving so quickly! Today is the last day in Week 1 already! 6 weeks to go with these classes, then I get a week off before the next 7 week period.

QOTD: Have you ever written to a celebrity? Did they reply? Ok, hear me out. PartlyPollyanna and I are both HUGE fans of this one podcast. We both pay a lot of extra dollars a month to support them. Because of this, we both got personal calls from the podcast hosts (and therefore we have their cell phone numbers). We mayyyyyyy have had a little extra wine and started texting them selfies! ((DCGirl and Grim were standing by with bail money, LOL.)) But, the hosts were awesome and sent us selfies, back! We are praying we get in the newsletter next week :)

B: Fit Frappe Protein with my coffee & egg whites with ham and feta

L: Veggie Burger and Chili

D: Breakfast for dinner! - TJ's Eggwich

Exercise: Whoops, I didn't exercise or move my body at all yesterday and today my back feels tight and sore. I am going to hobble out for a walk now and try to loosen up :(

Good mornin everyone, glad you're feeling better about things JB.

Today I have an evaluation for PT. We'll see how that goes. I'm really sore right now so it may make things dicey.

My doctors offices NP is working in peer to peer for the Ozempic. I am not at all thinking it'll get approved. I see my GP in a few weeks and I'll likely be put on insulin. My last A1c was 8 and my fasting BS's are not doing well. No matter how little carbs I eat or whatever. I am so frustrated. I'm still trying Berberine and it's just not helping much at all. While I hope for Ozempic approval I am surely not counting on it.

QOTD: the closest I have come is a reply to Wil Wheaton I made and he responded. I was such a nerd about it. I even screen grabbed it. It's on an old hard drive somewhere.

B: JUST egg bowl & coffee

L: fish, green beans and a jerky beef strip

D: white chicken chili

S: rice cake, tbs of hummus, PP shake, veggies

Wil Wheaton, Sheldon's nemesis from Big Bang Theory! I liked him on that show. I know he was also on Star Trek.

Love Wil! I was so sad he was driven off twitter due to all the hate from idiots but happy he took the steps for his mental health.

Idiots were being hateful to him so he got off because it's better for his mental health.

When you are diabetic and take oral medicines , the oral medicines make your pancreas work harder. That wears it out and most end up on insulin. Nobody tells you this because of all the money made from oral medicines.

It lets you live insulin free for many years. If it is time to go to injections, that does not mean you are eating too many carbs or are a failure. It just means your pancreas needs insulin now.

Years ago there were no oral diabetic medicines in the US.

Metformin was prescribed in France since 1957. Not in US until 1995. It changed everything and now there are multiple oral diabetic medicines. There had been other pills but metformin changed everything. After RNY I was off all diabetic medicines for about 10 years. But A1C went up again and on Lantus. I am at my 136 goal weight and very careful about carbs. But my pancreas does not produce enough insulin now.

I did gain weight with insulin and had to eat less to control it. But taking insulin is just where my body is now.

Mary, I don't know if you have ever seen this, but Metformin is being studied for anti-aging qualities.

I did not know that but appreciate you telling me. It is also not a drug that depletes the pancreas.
